My favorite model, my dearest friend and my #1 fan...my husband Allen! I've taken many photos of him and this one may be closest to my favorite! I like his profile view and decided to work around this one. The lines (brushes) fit neatly around his profile and the uneven lighting just accented his features.

Nicely Done !!!

The otter and sign are from a 2019 visit to the Little Rock Zoo and the background is from an earlier visit to Garvan Gardens, also in 2019. While at the zoo that day I was lucky enough to be at the otter enclosure when he stopped, stood up, and looked at the sign. It's been on my list for using in a composite, so I enjoyed putting these two together yesterday. Thought I'd share.

If you would like, please click on the picture, doing so will link you to the gallery page where the shot can be seen in higher resolution and full page. Thanks for viewing and Have A Blessed Day !!!

I love hummingbirds! This is so beautiful! I love the soft colors and your editing style. I only use basic editing on my photos, but I want to learn more about using textures and filters. I'm not familiar with "atmosphere". Is that a special filter in Photoshop?
Thank you for sharing!
Patty

Thank You so much !!! and you're very welcome, glad to share. No atmosphere filter in Photoshop, it was done with several overlay layers. First was a layer of a similar color with some fog brushed in and blended at a low opacity using the soft light blend mode, next left top corner toward the hummingbird was a textured light ray overlay blended using the screen blend mode, then using a mask, brushed out where I didn't want it, then above that was a golden sunlight ray blurred and blended with screen, and above that was a dust overlay blended with screen and again masked out where i didn't want the dust to appear. The background texture itself was done with 2 different texture layers. Delighted you enjoyed it !!!

Texture is a great touch... Hummingbirds should never be harshly imaged... harsh is not their nature... well done Uncle Buck.

Thank You very much Don !!
