I never get the results you got . To see if I could get your results with the hawk . I downloaded your blurry copy . Used v2 choice in topaz al sharpen like you said you did , and it didn't come out close to what you got . I then tried a couple other choice settings and still didn't close to your results . I did delete both copies after the test .Not sure why my results didn't match yours unless it's because you posted a low quality sample . Oh well . Life goes on ,Tommy

Nice overall job. However, In my experience I have never seen weathered wood such as the side of this mill that was an overall uniform shade or tint of color. Perhaps if you added a random filter like Photoshop clouds to a variation of the color it would break it up to look more realistic.

Thank you for your idea ,Tommy

Beautifully done. How long did it take to get it done? Lots of detail for you to work on

I don't really pay attention how long it times anymore . I just jump in and start coloring . Sometimes I color for a while and have to stop . Sometimes when I think I'm done . I will walk away and come back later and usually find something I missed or don't like and then I make some minor changes . Some of the photos I have posted here take a couple of hrs and some take several hrs or more ...
Sorry I can't tell you exactly how long this one took . If I was concerned about the hrs I may not color black and whites . I have sat down before and before I know it , 7 or 8 hrs have gone by . I was taught patience by my dad when I was growing up and hunting . And when I was taking photos of wild life I would crawl thru brush and sit for hrs just to get that special shot . Thanks for looking and asking . Tommy

for windows 10 , click on the start icon on the bottom left , then click on Settings , then click on Personalization in the upper right . On the left side where it says Background , does it say Slideshow , if so , you can click on the small arrow on the right side of the box and change it . This may help or may not depending on what you have on your computer running .Tommy

Tommy, one of the differences with new MacBook Pros is the absence of a separate graphics card. Graphics are handled by the M1 chip. Also, there is no display port on that computer. The preferred connection is though the USB-C port on the cable BenQ supplies.

Irwin

Since I never had a mac computer or laptop , I wasn't sure . I hope using the USB-C port will allow calibrating and then correct validation of the calibration . The Benq monitors I got also said to use a USB 3.0 to connect to the monitors .
Thanks for the info for MacBook , Tommy

I have two Benq SW2700PT I bought 3 yrs ago I use to work on photos .I do a lot of restoring and coloring of B&W photos . When I bought my two monitors , it came with a display cable and you need to have a Display port out of your graphic card so when you use the Palette Master software you can get a correct validation after calibrating the monitors . Using any other cable connection to the monitor will give you a failed validation after calibration . I learned that the hard way because the Display cables they include in the box has one large end and one small end . I needed a large end on both ends and I had to order two cables . I'm very happy with mine , Tommy
