I am trying to restore an old photo for my brother. This was his pride Red White and Blue AMX. I scanned it and would like to make an 8 x 10 for him. Any suggestions or attempts would be deeply appreciated.

Unfortunately the paper pattern and the scan size do not lend itself to a good 8x10, but it was fun to try

I thought we could have some fun with a Sepia Challenge.

I love the way a touch of Sepia can age a photograph beautifully with soft tones.

You can have the whole photo as Sepia or add just a touch of Sepia.

Most photo editing programs can change a photograph to Sepia. ie...
Picasa.com, Befunky.com Fotor.com These are some of the free programs I like and of course there is Smart Photo Editor.

Here are a couple of links for the Sepia challenge.

Have fun and lets see what everyone has to share.

Time well spent, looking good. Thank you it will be a keeper.

Always like a challenge. That's the way I learn. I still am very limited in the amount of things I can do in Photoshop. Hopefully I will get some time to learn an easier and more efficient way to do the few things that I work with.

You did a pretty good and patient job of masking out the background. However, that second upright object on the right is still missing and the distracting one further back is still there. I would also get rid of the stones and walk. I like those grasses on the left.

OK, I did turn my glasses around and maybe this time I have it close.....maybe

I could really use some help from my UHH photoshop friends. I'd like to have the car and headlights cloned out of the attached photo. Also if a little contrast could be provided and perhaps a touch of saturation, I'd be very grateful. This is a photo I plan on printing 16x20 and hanging on my wall.

Thanks so much.

Removed items, increased contrast and saturation. Also used Perfect Resize to size the photo to 16X20 at 300dpi for printing. In order to fit that ratio, the photo had to be cropped

Impressive shot artar, my only negative input would be the slight noise in the sky when downloaded. I don't say that to rip on you, only to address future concerns when night shooting. Maybe a tripod with a longer exposure? A smaller ISO could be achieved that way which equates to less noise.

Processed the first shot through Neat Image to reduce some of the noise, and took the second shot tonight (with fog) and ran it at ISO 100 on a tripod

This is not a sunrise or sunset, the lights come from a university in town. It is a night shot with a slight fog outside after the recent snow in Texas

I downloaded the original third upload, and found it's size is 5472x3648 which should be the same as the first and second. ??????

They are all the same size, but the third one appears to be zoomed in or cropped more. The building on the upper left is just barely visible in the third one

I hope you still have your work saved. The rest of the remaining seat on the right side is missing, otherwise

Unavoidable backgrounds are such a distraction. A portable green screen is out of the question right?

The background is the challenge for removal. I did this on another view and the old wagon turned into a gem.

My attempt....
