Great set Richard- thanks for posting. I agree with Jay Pat- nothing like seeing the steam.

Thanks for posting - if this restoration gets done I would definitely make plans to go see it even though it would be a very long trip to take. The Big Boy at Steamtown is such an impressive piece- too see one running would be awesome. We have made the trip to Steamtown many times, it is a great experience.

Very nice photos - the first one was my favorite locomotive on this line. Sad news- Iowa Pacific Holdings broke their contract to run trains this summer on the Saratoga to North Creek line. They could not make money on the tourist train and they did not get the freight business to supplement it by hauling tailings from the long defunct Tahawus mine line. They attracted a lot of bad press when they tried to make money by storing old tanker cars on the line from North Creek to Tahawus.

Great shot- thanks for posting. They sure knew how to fancy things up in the old days- the railing, the sidelights, the awning and the half circle windows on top -all beautiful.

What a great shot - I love looking at old rail cars and old rail structures. I can understand why it is easier using a bucket loader than getting the coal into the tipple so it can slid out! Thanks for posting.

I really like this set - you not only got the two old steamers, but all the fun surrounding the outing. Looks like it was a fun day.

These are great photos Jay Pat- thanks for posting. Is that date 1909?

Really nice picture of a great looking little loco. What the heck are those people looking at?

Thanks guys.

We stumbled across this on our 2008 vacation to North America. We didn't see it on the return journey.
I suspect it is just an out an back operation with the loco just running around (not turning) at the far end.
We didn't catch this train, however next day we caught the train up to Crawford Notch (pictures to come) from North Conway.
There is a turntable at North Conway where locos can be turned.
Attached is a pic shot at North Conway, next day, in the yard.

I really love this one. It looks like a calendar picture and the download is fantastic. Thanks for posting. We will now have to take a trip over to North Conway,NH

That's a buttercup - often found in huge masses in wet areas.

I like the Snoqualmie Falls view - but why is the download sideways?

I like it a lot. If I saw this pattern printed on fabric I would buy it to make a tablecloth - or curtains. Thanks for posting
