Trump can't even keep the major players straight in his feeble brain.

“Nikki Haley, you know they, do you know they destroyed all of the information, all of the evidence, everything, deleted and destroyed all of it. All of it, because of lots of things like Nikki Haley is in charge of security. We offered her 10,000 people, soldiers, National Guard, whatever they want. They turned it down. They don’t want to talk about that. These are very dishonest people,” Trump said.

LOL Biden does that on a daily basis yet you reject the fact that Biden is suffering from cognitive decline. Making errors once in a while is not a symptom of cognitive decline, doing so repeatedly as Biden does on a daily basis IS.

Explain this rant:

Oh BS, border security under Trump was doing just fine until Joe Biden came in and dismantled it and now we're having influx of illegal immigration. Don't give me the BS that it's Republicans fault. It's Joe Biden and the Democrats that screwed up this border and invited illegal immigration. Democrats always have this way of effing things up and then blaming it on the Republicans for not fixing it.

Rac, thank you for making my point. What you describe regarding a president altering the previous president's policies explains exactly why we need bipartisan legislation passed by Congress if there is any hope of lasting changes on the border.

The attic border ranters just don't get it. Actual legislation passed by Congress and signed by a president is different than immigration policies changing every 4 or 8 years as new presidents take office. Laws only change when Congress agrees to pass them. Congress hasn't agreed to pass meaningful border legislation for decades and there is an opportunity to pass actual lasting laws improving border security now if the crazies in the dysfunctioal Republican House don't screw this up. Do they actually want border security or do they just want to use the border and all affected by the crisis as political footballs in an election year?

Again what specific part of this bill will increase border security to stop the illegal flow of immigrants?

The details of this package have not yet been released because negotiations are ongoing.

"It will be by far the most conservative border security bill in four decades," said Oklahoma Sen. James Lankford, the lead GOP negotiator and a staunch conservative.

Hmmm... Biden has done absolutely nothing about border security until election year. There was more border security and control under President Trump than there ever has been under Joe Biden who destroyed the security. Exactly what part of this bill specifically increases border security?

No president has done anything about negotiating a deal with congress for decades, including Trump. This is a rare legislative opportunity to actually pass a bipartisan bill that would improve border security.

They are not against border security, they are against the increased aid to Ukraine. They want Russia and Ukraine to sign a treaty and end the war.

Who in blue blazing hell thought of tying these two things together in one bill?

Republicans in the House previously stated that there is no possibility of aid to Ukraine unless there is a border deal, binding the two issues together. Republicans don't actually want border security measures to pass during an election year because they would rather falsely rant about Democrats being totally responsible for the border crisis.

So you want open borders?

Republicans have an opportunity to improve border security, but Republicans don't want to do that while Biden is in office because they don't want Biden and the Democrats to get credit for passing any law increasing border security. Republicans don't actually want border security because they love the politics of accusing the Democrats of being solely responsible for the border crisis. Staunch conservatives in the Senate know that this is true and they are talking about it and criticizing the far-right crazy Republicans in the House.

A bill is currently being negotiated between President Biden and REPUBLICANS in the Senate which would provide the most significant border reform in decades in exchange for aid to Ukraine. This bill has the support of staunch conservative REPUBLICANS in the Senate such as Lyndsay Graham, John Thune, Dan Crenshaw, etc. Trump and REPUBLICANS in the House oppose this bill which would give our country increased border security because they would rather rant about the lack of border security than improve border security while Biden is President. Rep. Dan Crenshaw, (REPUBLICAN, Texas), accused REPUBLICANS in the house of wanting "Russia to win more than you want border policy changes".

Is it syphilis? I don't have a clue but he certainly is a horn-dog, so it's possible.
If it is, it would probably explain his cognitive decline.

Oh, yuck! We see his hands. The ugly stain of whatever disease Trump is suffering from is probably all over his entire fat body. Probably came from a lab in China...

Yes Congress and state legislatures have long done the multi subject bill as a way of getting things that are iffy passed by tying them to things are a sure bet to pass.

I am a retired teacher and the Constitution is one of the things I taught. I have been of the opinion that we need an amendment that all bills must be one subject or multiple parts of one subject.

In example, a bill about building highways may contain provisions for buying private land for right of way, buying equipment and materials etc. but not building a new tanker loading harbor in some Congress Critter's district.

That makes way too much sense, but it doesn’t allow the local representative to bring home the bacon.
