All your images are outstanding. I know you're not succulent specialist but I've been trying to think of the cactus that blooms longer than the Christmas cactus. It is covered with beautiful flowers, similar to the ones you've pictured. Any chance you know the name of that cactus?
Shucks! I thought I had one setting ignored, but it's a D2S. I bought it to have a medium format camera but never used it. I have a friend who has a D4 and she takes great pictures. Those cameras are heavy!
I was teaching a photography class at the large Breckenridge Park in Richardson, Texas when the park ranger told us about an older man blocking the machine cutting weeds. The driver, who had his job at stake was adamant ... until the gentleman told him the milkweed supplied the fuel for the Monarchs before their flight to Mexico. Today the weeds grow in a protected area of the park.
She is precious. That last image says it all. How is her Mommie doing?
Some day her children will wonder how she got to be so successful. That picture, plus number three will explain it all .... curiosity .... learning about her great world.
Another change: Even if you buy from an individual (who has already paid a sales tax) you will have to pay a sales tax. I bought the Nikon Z-6 and the tax was about $200.00.
I have used my Nikon D70S with great results. I have the 18-200 VRII lens so I don't have to be changing lenses. You can find one on eBay for under a hundred dollars but the lens has skyrocketed. I recently bought the Nikon Z-6 with the 24-70 lens that cost about $2,000.00 and found it is too much camera for me. I will be ninety-two in a few days. Nikon no longer does repair, or has parts for the D70S so I bought a back-up in case mine goes out.
We built our new home on a creek lot in Richardson sixty years ago and we're enjoyed it each season. My best shots are of the Mallard couple that return every year and a shot of Mama with ten duckling emerging from under the Cottonwood Creek Bridge.
I haven't had heart surgery but I'm ninety-one and just bought the Nikon Z-6, I have yet to use it. Your pictures are great. I know it must feel good to have your camera back in your hands.
