She is gorgeous!! I’m in love all over again

Thanks davyboy for your comment... sorry for the late response but it has been a crazy time these last few weeks...
crazier than usual... notice that I used the word "usual" instead of "normal", but we had to sort out where to go visit
on Christmas Eve and Christmas day... we have immediate family, blood relatives, and in-laws whom all invited us over
for Xmas Eve and on Xmas day! We had breakfast, lunch, and supper (suffer) the same day at different locations on both days!!!
But everything considered, we had a happy, fun-filled Christmas with everyone! Although the food was great, I had to take
Pepto Bismuth to calm an overly full stomach on both days!!! I hope you had a great time this Christmas, and an upcoming Happy,
Healthy, and fun filled, Safe New Year!!!

I think you've captured a mood here. There is a dreamy quality with the shallow DOF, the delicate patterns of the weeds and the softness of the bird. Definitely a keeper in my opinion.

I took this photo of one of my Yorkies a few years ago... she is just like a child...
Dress them up and tell them to smile and this is what you get!!!
But I love her to pieces and she is so very loving...
But you could never tell from the photo...

It’s easy to see why you like it, the colors and lines are very appealing. Having the songbird in focus would be a big bonus but sometimes you get what you got.

Thanks for your comment BassmanBruce... I get lucky every now and then...
Just call me Bruce...

Snowy looks like a real sweetheart. I went through that same ceremony this past April and I still tear up on occasion. Take care.

Sorry for the late response but lately the better half has been screaming more than usual... I got her a new microwave about 6 or 7 months ago and haven't had a chance to put it up yet!!! It is one of those microwave and exhaust hood combinations... our old hood mount microwave gave up after about 20 years of everyday use! The new one is a bit larger and I have to raise the cabinet that it is going under to maintain the proper clearance from the stove top below. We have been using a fine tabletop microwave that works just fine... I don't know what the hurry is all about...???

Oh! Thanks for your thoughtful comments... I am sorry for your loss having been there on more than one occasion... I have several Yorkies and lost our Tank about a year ago.
Tank was my buddy for sure... he was so smart, gentle, and very lovable... I cried every day for a month when he passed away at my feet from a sudden heart attack... if I start talking about him I still tear up... I never knew that I could love a pet that much... I became an animal lover late in life... it was forced upon me by my better half... they, like her just grew on me!

I took this photo earlier in the year... I haven't taken many pics since then. The photo was taken from about 50 yards out on a cloudy bright day... the bird is out of focus because I had to shoot hand held with a 600mm telephoto lens and through a bunch of weeds but I still like it! I hope you see some merit in it too... beauty is sometimes in the eye of the beholder!

P.S. I had to do some cropping too...

Bird in the Rye... Maybe not...

Very sorry and a little of the hurt never seems to leave, but having another little one around really seems to help our family! Take care!

Thanks for commenting Swamp-Cork... I still have several loving pets... I have lost a wonderful dog since losing Snowy my cat... I lost Tank our largest Yorkie... it was like losing my best friend... he was so smart and dedicated... I haven't wrote about his lost yet... I don't know if I can... it was very painful... got to me worse than losing Snowy!

I do find these interesting, Bruce. those little tan "Y" shaped parts on the petals, I assume are where the feathery seeds are going to come? My dandelion knowledge is lacking. But I love the up close details.
So glad you have returned to the forum.

Thanks carlysue for your comment... I have been just so busy that I haven't had the time to get back on here very often...
Just have too many items on my "Honey Do List... as usual"! Spending much more time with the family and new granddaughter!
Will be getting my camera out to see if it still works... I need to take a lot of photos of her... have just been using my cellphone lately!
