OK, Sue, for a little trick ....... if the OP includes a download version of a photo, you can get all the camera and lens information from the EXIF file. To do that, bookmark a website called Jeffrey's Exif Viewer (http://regex.info/exif.cgi ). Go to a photo you like, click on the download view, and copy the URL that is listed at the very top of the page in the left hand corner. Then go to Jeffrey's Exif Viewer page and paste the URL in the box that says Image URL, then click the button that says "View Image at URL". All that information will be displayed on page, with a whole bunch more information than you probably need. The nice thing is that the Camera and Lens information is pretty near the top.

Any suggestion on how I can keep noise down in HS Football shots? I was shooting shutter priority. Would Aperture priority have been better?

Sounds interesting.

So I'm on vacation and I see some guy taking pictures of gators. I notice the hog pin and introduce myself. What an awesome moment for me!

I'm on vacation and see some guy taking pictures. As I walk by I notice the hog pin and introduce myself. We find out that that we often clashed in the small-talk forum and I remember I always promised myself I'd kick his ass if I ever met him in person....

all very enjoyable photos (as are the others of M. McDonald), but please remember that photos posted for the purpose of simple viewing by others need to be posted in The Gallery section, not the General Discussion section. :-)

oops! Thanks!

Really would like to know just WHO is Michael McDonald

Excellent shot, especially #1...

Michael McDonald is a 5 time Grammy winning musician. He's known for his work with the Doobie Brothers (circa 1976-82), and solo work since then. :-)

The City of Allen, TX hosted a pre-4th event yesterday, featuring Michael McDonald as the entertainment. I managed to get a spot close to the front. Here's a shot of Bernie Chiaravelle-a long-time guitarist and collaborator with Mr. M.

Ok, good UHH members.......I've finally decided on two lens for my Cuba trip with my canon 6d.....canon 18-135 3.5-5.6 or sigma 24-70 2.8....canon lighter but somewhat less quality....sigma great quality but really heavy...will be doing up to 13-19 prints and using raw/JPEG..maybe take the canon 1.8 as well....
Give me some good vibes!!! I have really appreciated ALL the good advise....just trying to finish up with you good help.

HiTeacher22. Did you take your trip? Which lens did you use. I'm going next year and am beginning to plan. Thanks!

Thank you so much, that was it!!! I tried all of the top selections, thinking it would be in tools or develop. Never thought of right clicking. Using a Mac, right clicking isn't on my radar much anymore.

Thanks again!

My husband is using Lightroom 5 (novice) and has somehow removed "Basic" from the right side of the screen in the Develop mode under the Histogram.

It is not a matter of having the toggle pointed in the correct direction, the whole Basic option is not there. Of course without it he can't adjust the exposure, etc.

I've tried to use Adobe's "Help" section, but it's like talking to the wall. I can't get anywhere.

I'd really appreciate it if someone can tell me how to reinstall the "Basic" option to the Develop mode.

Put your cursor on the right side. Right click. Basic will be unchecked. Check it. All done!
