Let's return to the real world. There are only EIGHTEEN customer reviews of MPB on the BBB website! Virtually all are negative. Eighteen is an insignificant sample, and overall the company has a B rating from the BBB.
If you read the customer complaints to the BBB (of which there are only 89) and see the respectful, reasoned responses from the company representative, and the satisfactory resolution of the vast majority of the actual complaints that have been filed, you can readily understand why MPB is so popular on this forum, and is such a successful business.
Let's return to the real world. There are only b... (show quote)
This a good point, the nature of the responses will be biased to those people who feel wronged by MPB. I suppose if all of us that had good experiences with them could give our 5 stars to MPB and change (skew?) the statistics.
I will be up along the Lake Erie shoreline next month photographing sunrises/sunsets and birds in light. I have some locations in mind for the sunsets and sunrises but am looking for locations for BIF. I have been in the Marblehead Lighthouse area near Sandusky and found some marshes with herons, but am interested in other possible locations. I have done some quick research and found the Black Swap Bird Observatory, Howard Marsh and Magee Marsh among others. Any recommendations?
A new gun-style camera mount has been announced lately on Indiegogo. The warranty on the mount is probably longer than your life expectancy while using it.
The suspicious thing I find is why they would need your “balance”?
They want the bank info for direct deposit to your account, not to drain it. This is how I am set up with them. You may be able to get the check mailed to you option.
I went to the BBB website and verified the bad reviews. Somewhat confused by all the bad reviews and how my experience has been completely different.
If one is concerned about $$$ the EM-1 Mark 3 will pretty much give you most of the OM1... Built in ND filters etc... Being on the leading edge is not always the most cost efficient unless you are maybe feeding your family on your efforts.
The AF in the OM-1 is a significant upward step from the E-M1iii. That was the reason I upgraded from the E-M1iii to the OM-1. I didn't jump on the pre-order bandwagon for the OM-1, I wanted to see more independent reviews of the AF.
I seriously doubt Nikon would give you an estimate without first seeing the camera!
I got a repair quote from Nikon for replacing the shutter in my 750 without them seeing it. This may because I was specific about the problem, the OP cannot be specific as to the problem.
I use Mixbook to make annual books of photos for each of my grandkid's. They were the only vendor I found that could make lay flat books with thick pages that would stand up to them.
For regular books, I would use Shutterfly. I used Apple in the past but they got out of the book business.
Was this post done by an early version of A.I? You have your camera in an automatic mode with occasional use of fill flash when required. Have fun shooting in low light for landscapes, etc.
Is it a paradox to not be interested in this thread?
There are alot of topics that I look at and then move on, new gear announcements or questions that are badly worded, etc. There are several threads that I follow (or attempt to) because they discuss concepts that I am not aware of or have little understanding of and follow a polite discourse without the thread becoming derailed in acrimony.
