It might have something to do with the clarity of the tv's picture which is superior with the dishes. It might also have something to do with sports. The antennas I saw were of the old-style roof antennas before cable or dish.

After viewing on Download they may be a type for some type of radio reception.

Alan, I notice a lot of TV antenna on the roofs. It makes me wonder if they don't have TV cable service of some type.
