I thought this would be a good day to post a few Gettysburg pics that I took last weekend.

I will be going back in a few weeks (weather permitting) to get a lot more.

I was there last week on sales calls and stopped tp eat lunch at the battlefield. Here are my shots

Welcome to Day 184 :) Today it's all about Rust and Corrosion. It shouldn't be too tough to find this stuff all over the place. Here are a few examples to get us started.
I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

Great shot. I'm not a fan of Nissley wines but the shot turned out great. You should check out Black Walnut Vineyards on Rt 30 past the Gap. Great wines and good bottle designs. Twin Brook in Gap is very good too.

Welcome to Day 172 :) Today it's all about Skyscrapers.
Now before those of you that live in the country start complaining ... We don't have any skyscrapers in Tucson either. Most of our buildings are 5 or 6 stories. So if the tallest building you have is 2 stories tall .. then it counts as a local skyscraper. Here are a few examples to get us started... I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

Welcome to Day 169:) Today we are going to be taking a look at Shallow Depth of Field. Shallow depth of field for anybody that doesn't understand ... simply means one part of the photo will be in focus and the rest will be blurry. There are several ways to accomplish this .. you can get the subject as close to the camera as possible...or you can make sure the subject is pretty far away from anything in the background.. or you can use a large aperture (smaller f/stop number) .. or you can use a longer focal length. Either of these will result in a shallow depth of field.
Here are a few examples to get us started .. I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

Welcome to Day 167:) Today it's all about Pet Portraits .. now I realize not everybody has a pet ..but I'd be willing to bet your friends and family do or your neighbor .. or the people at the local park. Just do the best you can .. and by the way we will count the birds that come to eat in your back yard. For my part I decided to attempt to get the heathens to pose .... Not going to happen lol .. ever !!
So I got them in action the best I could. I had to take about 125 photos to only manage to get 1 decent one of each of them. So here are a few examples to get us started. I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

Welcome to Day 163 :) Today it's all about Artistic Expression. All photography is art .. so there is no wrong way to do this challenge. Every day we post
we are showing our artistic expression. So whether it's your art .. or a photograph of someone else's it all counts. As do special effects or even no effects.
The mere fact that you stopped long enough to photograph something is an artistic expression. Here are a few examples to get us started. I look forward to seeing
what y'all come up with.

It was funny. I took that shot from the back of the rental car and less than 10 minutes we were at the Golden Gate bridge and this is what awaited us. The shot from the San Pedro sign was #591 and the Golden Gate Bridge was #596 on my camera.

fog? I kinda like it

Here's the rest in the series. remember I was in a convertable.

597 - others were too tall to fit in this format
