And while this was going on, we, and the female citizens, youth, and decrepit, could only hear some of the major points, and read little in the limited newspapers because of the continuing need for secrecy -- to avoid giving clues to Germany and Italy and Japan as to what to expect next. We conserved, lived with intense rationing, bought War Bonds, raised gardens, worked the factories and fields. And intensely supported our troops !!!! How things changed when the Korean War came along (1951 -- 1959) and even more as our leftists bitched at the men who did the fighting in the Vietnam War, and, like Clinton, traitorously ran across the border to Canada.

Even today, far too many easily accept the freedom preserved by the few, while despising and obstructing them and our World's finest representative Democracy. Gutless and traitorous leftists and Muslimists and Communists and Socialists.

Had a nice trip down in Southern Michigan Amish country 2 weekends ago. Always on the lookout for wildlife, but especially for little-ones this time of year.

Thanks for looking. Have a super day!

All delightful and well done shots, but I like best the one you've
labeled "summer", with its sunlit cast of the barn.

Thanks Michael, I can see that you understand first hand how difficult it is to shoot from an unstable platform at a moving object. Puts a whole new meaning to the word panning :D I do appreciate your story and thank you for your service.

Husband and I were out today, for a hike, to a lake we had heard about in Kincaid Park. When we rounded a turn in the path, and came face to face with Mamma & Twins. I'll admit, I was not too happy, as moose are so protective of their calves, and have been known to attack without provocation. I was somewhat relieved they were all laying down, but we were backing up rapidly, and knew we were in Big Trouble if she got up. Ed was the one who actually stopped to take the picture, I was reaching for the bear spray. Fortunately, she didn't budge, however we never made it to the lake.
