Thank you for letting me know the exif data is missing.

I didn't realize Aperture was stripping the data from png exports but not jpg.

Here is the same photo in jpg.

Today was a good day even though it didn't get much above 30.
I haven't been able to get out much this year so I have a lot of pics to take to make up for it.

Not sure what you mean.

In the camera menu, Autofocus > AF Activation there are two choices,
Shutter/AF-ON
AF-ON only
So I have the latter selected.

I'm not that familiar with Nikon, but it looks like you can only choose one button or the other. So at this point I don't have an idea what it is doing.

So much political hostility here.

Try instead a cordial frame of mind when considering political matters. Typically then, a clearer view ensues, allowing a more adult view to take shape, even if tough-minded. The resulting dialog becomes useful because it contains more objectivity and less political venom.

Happy New Year!

Obummer is not an adult and can not be reasoned with in such a way. He is a spoiled little boy who needs to be taken to the wood shed and grounded for the next 10 yrs (Guantanamo would be a good place).

I finally got my first L series lens and to tell you the truth i don't see what all the hoopla is about them.My lens is the 70-200mm non is,my tamron 70-300mm set at 200mm performs better then the l lens and the tamron was 400 dollars compared to 700 dollars for the l lens.I set both with the same settings, both at 200mm,i set the tamrons vr to off so it would match the L because it don't have( is) really disapointed.

What body are you shooting with ??

Hey, this stuff happens all the time, and under EVERY president. It's nothing unusual.

I remember taking a flight to New York, and the plane was forced to land at another airport because Air Force One with the president on-board (George H.G. Bush I believe it was) had just landed at the airport my plane was scheduled to use. Of course causing over an hour delay. So what. I didn't curse out the president over it. You're cursing the president and you're not even in the wedding party. You need to calm down and put things in proper perspective.
Hey, this stuff happens all the time, and under EV... (show quote)

You really had to warp your mind so far out as to use this story to justify what Obummer does as being an 'average' minded human !!

Totally expected as coming from an Obummer minion.

The window will distort the image. I always open it when shooting out.

Any short lens on a decent body will give the detail that you are looking for. I used a Tamron 28-200 on a D60 with tripod for putting coins and other smalls on ebay.

Got a question for your Big Bear....if you go to switch on your computer and it doesn't boot. What next? Even if your libraries are on a different drive - how are going to read them?

Then you have more of a problem than Aperture.
After you rebuild your OS, you can reload Aperture from the Apple site, which I am told by inside informants, they will maintain for those who have already bought it.

The only lens you have that the 2x will work with is the 70-200.
The 24-105 is a great lens and my main multi-purpose lens. When I want extra length I use my 70-200 2.8 or my 300 2.8 either of which I can use my 2x on which is rarely out of the bag.
The last time I used the 2x was to get an eagle that was over 1 mile away. So yo may not need one with the selection you already have and keep in mind that you lose 2 stops with it.
