Tried taking a first night shot using a zoom lens. There were small lights on the walkway to the end and large green lights for fishing.
Using an old film camera lens for my EOS 630 camera, I attached it to my Canon 6D and took pictures in the afternoon.
Very good shots. I am still waiting on my Tamron 150-600mm but I have been reading a lot. Which metering mode are you using on your Canon 6D?

Very good for panning shots. Are you using continous auto focus? Practice and more practice. Like they say, "take 100's of shots and throw most away."
Shooting with a lower ISO would have helped a lot, but in the spur of the moment you often don't have a choice. Good job bringing the noise down without too much smoothing.
Thanks for all your helpful coments.
I was looking for ways to familarize myself with my new Canon 6D. I ran across a grub under a log. I was using a Canon 100mm macro lens at f/10, ISO 320 and lens speed 1/100.
This is my first macro shot - please comment.
I received a Canon 6D for my 70th birthday from my wife. I have ordered a Tamron 150-600mm recently but it is on backorder. Can't wait to try it out.
Romans 1:20
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
If you believe in "Jesus" and are wrong, what have you lost. If you believe in "Jesus" and are correct in your belief, you gain eterenity with Him.
