If your budget does not allow you to buy a new full frame lens I would suggest buying refurbished. I owned many Nikons with a cropped sensor starting with the D70s. I bought the DX lenses they were good but when I moved up to full frame cameras, I had to buy new lenses. It was then that I wished that I had started with full frame lenses on the cropped sensor cameras. If you plan on ever moving up to full frame, then start with full frame lenses. You will pay more up front, but will save money in the long run.
My cannon friends are have been looking forward to this camera for a while. Although my DSLR cameras are nikon I am very tempted by this cameta as an extra camera to have. Would be very good on long hikes.
Very nice pics and a beautiful place to live
There is tremendous corolation between mega pixels and resolutuin. Get the most pixels you can afford. A DX lens on a full frame camera will cause a loss of uch resolution. When I upgraded to ful frame I also went with full frame FX lenses. I have never regretted it.
70-300 are a good compromose and you can get some reasonably priced ones.
Click on help in lightroom and download the latest raw converter. I had the same issue with my D810. Now it works well with lightroom
Welcome to the UHH. Thanks for sharing your pics.
When I first tried to download my D810 pics, I had the same issue with ligntroom. I clicked on help in lightroom and downloaded the newest raw converter and that was all it took. Ligntroom works fine with my D810. I had to do the same thing with photoshop. Hope this helps.
Great detail, color and saturation throughout. I like the shot
No BBF is a huge mistake in my opinion
Very interesting sky. Nice shot. Have you tried to bring out a little more detail in the shadows?
