Thanks all for your comments. I was thrilled to get this. Someone suggested lightening it up a bit. Good suggestion, how does this look?

To me this version is better. Can really appreciate the detail on the eagle's body. But, of course, I am biased because I was the one who suggested you try lightening it up.

Great shot. I love the way the clouds frame the tree, with blue sky on either side. Were you aware of this when you took the picture? Just curious.

Wonderful shot, a lot of detail. It looks somewhat dark to me. Perhaps lighten up?

All are great. I also vote for last one as my favorite.

All the pictures are wonderful. Great detail. My personal favorite is the fourth; the backlighting works wonderfully. One suggestion -- I found the thin tree trunk behind the deer, especially the portion above the ear, a little distracting. If you are so inclined, the portion of the tree above the ear could be easily removed. The portion below the ear would be much more difficult to remove, and I would not think is necessary. The picture should still look natural.

These are all wonderful. I find the second one intriguing, and it is my favorite.

I like it. Can feel the effort of the person pulling on the rope.

With the dark center and dark background, the petals really stand out. Very nice.

Long-time photo enthusiast, recently retired, living in NYC. My favorite subjects include grandchildren, flowers, birds, city scenes, and just about anything else that catches my eye. I use a Canon 7D with the 17-85 kit lens, the Canon 70-300, and my new baby, the Canon 100mm macro. I have been following UHH for a month or so and already have learned a lot. Look forward to learning more and hopefully contributing. I am attaching two of my recent photos, both taken in Central Park. Any comments are welcome.
