A tidal river in Maine, the moon rising, with crickets chirping, the soft sound of the distant surf, and the smell of pine and salt air scenting the gentle breeze make this an ideal place for a relaxing nighttime walk during the summer.

Unless, of course, it's not real.

Totally cool, Randy. If you had not told us I would have easily believed this was taken at night. You must have run out of walls to hang your prints long ago so just take down an old one and put this one up.

Yumm, I'll take a warm slice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream thank you. Love both of these.

Whew! Almost didn't open this one thinking it was another hawk photo. Glad I did though. Love the light in this one.

Are these hand held images? Focus seems a bit soft. Night shots take longer and are best shot on tripod with a remote release or shutter timer. Your 2nd shot in the previous series showed star bursts in the street lights. This is accomplished by a small aperture like f16 or smaller. I do not see that effect at all in this series. Another reason to shoot earlier in the evening. You have more light which allows smaller apertures lending itself to the cool starbursts. Can you also see that the later your shots got the darker the sky has also gotten and therefore the interest is minimal or lost in these areas?

I went to boston tonight to try and get some good shots.hope you enjoy. I am a beginner so your comments would be appreciated. Tony

Tony, all are nice but #2 is your best shot of the skyline. I have found that to get the best city skyline shots I will start at sunset and go into twilight. This shot looks like the very end of the twilight period. Your 3rd shot looks like it was taken later than that judging by the color being less in the sky. Getting that cobalt blue and not black sky to me is an important ingredient to these types of photos. You have done very well here. Keep shootin'.

The eagle seemed very curious about something overhead (though not alarmed), but I didn't want to look up too, for fear of missing a launch :)

Canon SX50, burst mode. Edits in PSE 12 and Topaz Detail.

Thanks for viewing!

Very nice set, Linda. Something about a bird looking straight at you like in number 4 that seems odd don't you think?

Need a boat to float? A nice selection here at sunset in varied sizes and colors. Hard to pick just one, so I guess the boat you'll float is whatever floats your boat.

Paddles and oars not included.

Very colorful and pleasing to the eye. A wall hanger for sure.

These are what as is used as a local bus in the Philippines. Any visitor to this country will know they are a familiar site clogging up city and rural roads alike. The driver not only steers the vehicle he collects the fares which are passed along from passenger to passenger until it reaches the driver. Change is dispensed and passed back in the same manner.
They stop absolutely anywhere to pick up more passengers and in busy times the last ones to catch the bus will hang on the back sit on the roof or even on the vehicle's bonnet.
When you first arrive here they look interesting cute and almost exciting to travel in. After a few uncomfortable bumpy and dangerous journeys you buy a car!!

Never got over to PI. Guam was the closest I got. Had heard of this transport from others. Your image really brings this to life. Well done.
