I visited my daughter in Davis, CA yesterday. It was cloudy and not very bright, but I did find these critters to have some fun viewing. I will return at a later date to get some more shots under better lighting though.

That 3rd image is really great. Jury is still out on the one eyed owls.

I call this image Undevelopment vs Development.........I live in Orange County, California and it has a beautiful blend of natural land and developed land as this photo indicates. Please download the processed HDR photo for best viewing.

Hmmm, are you near a nuclear plant? That grass looks pretty radioactive to me. Do like how some of the details were brought out however.

St. Milo Statue

St. Milo Retreat Ctr. at Allenspark, CO. Some of the hogs don't like heavy vignetting but I felt this photo lends it self to using that. In my opinion there was nothing else of value in the photo other than the statue itself. Comments welcome.

I am pretty sure you meant St. Malo. Have been there before myself and find the church with the snow capped mountains in the background to be quite photogenic. Nice capture and treatment of the statue.

Wow, what an awesome moment you have captured here. I can imagine several captions that could go with this photo.

That first one is very well executed. Have tried some of that myself and know how challenging it can be to get the right background.

Well...this past weekend I was out in 3 degree weather photographing Eagles. That might not mean much to those who've lived in the North for years...but I'm a North Carolina transplant...only been up here about a year and a half ;-)

Canon 300mm f/4 Prime

Aperture f/8

In the first one I expect he is saying "Do you believe this lady out here with a camera in this weather?" Very nice photos. Like them all.

Hi,
A friend of mine asked if I could restore this very old photograph (found in an old locket) of her Granddad but I feel it's way out of my league as I only have Adobe Photoshop elements 12 and that its probably to far gone to help rebuild it?. I scanned it at 300dpi and if any one can help me to revive it (and let me into the secret of how) that would be great.
I'm on a long learning curve with photo restoration (only been doing it for a short while) but find the end projects very rewarding.
Hope someone can help or advise out there in hoggerland?
Best wishes,
Graham

Do you happen to have another photo of your grandfather as well? It is hard to tell from this photo, but it looks like he may be sporting a moustache. It seems to disappear in the reconstructions others are trying but expect it was an important part of how he appeared to others.
