Thanks so much, Judy. The prayers are greatly needed. My brother is crushed. Thanks too for the invite. I just may show up one day. You never know.

What a wonderful time! Thanks for bringing up those memories. Thanks, too for having us visit you. I am thinking of just walking away from my house and selling it for scrap. I was thinking that I could live different places for a few months at a time and really get to enjoy the best of the U.S. and Canada. Portland would definitely be on my list. By the way, I am afraid that I will be out for a while. My nephew was the pilot of the the U-2 spy plane that crashed on Tuesday. I plan to go to Sacramento for his funeral and will be gone next week. And then I have to settle on house plans. Prayers for my brother and for my nephew's family are greatly appreciated. He had 6 children, the youngest is 6 years old.

Well, Judy and I were thinking along the same lines. Just a year ago many of you had already started your trek to Maine. Have thought of those days so many times. I will remember those days as long as I live.

How adorable! Once my house is back together (probably moths), I will look for another dog. Yours are so cute but I fear too spirited for me.

pg1 Lovely set of fuel for the wood burner!

Have just enjoyed a week looking for dolphins in Scotland. Not a lot of success but what a lovely area..... need to go back in July/August when there is apparently a lot more activity. Zephyr (Locals told us that was her name) and her baby were still patrolling the waters but there were few others that we saw. Managed on the last day to get a shot of baby's face - phew!

I do look forward to the first morning I walk out and feel the nice crisp fall air. And I love sitting by a wood fire. But 6-7 months of constant deep cold is not my cup of tea. However 5 months of more than 90 degrees with 90% + humidity is not my cup of tea either. I finally found my camera in the stacks of things I salvaged. But I can't take photos because I can't find the bigger camera bag with my charger in it. I hope to find it soon. The upstairs is so full of boxes, chairs, lamps, etc. that I can't move anything to find what is behind or underneath. Meanwhile I am enjoying everyone's photos. Keep them coming. Thanks for hosting so faithfully.

Quite an abandoned week wasn't it? Hope things are looking up E Mang.

So today on FS is sort of a free day and I am sure you still have some fine photos from this past week but if not, no prob...post what you like..

Right now it is that time of the year when the geese fly, the leaves fall and our stovewood gets put in. for you southerners, see what you are missing? I'll send some snowbirds down to explain it
