These are great. If you haven't checked out his work, you should look up Nick Brandt. He does great stuff. Chris Fallows also has amazing elephant shots...so dramatic. He shoots them with the camera basically on ground pointing up to the elephants. Really makes them look larger than life. There is a video out there somewhere I watched one time where he explains how he got his shots. Its definitely worth watching.
Very nice. It appears you don't need much more practice, but keep it up anyway.
Thank you DRam11! I always feel the need to practice. Portraits are my favorite but I like learning how the light will react in different situations. And in this case didn't have a person to practice with.
I was out in my yard with my camera this evening playing with light and different angles. I took several shots but I really liked this one. Nikon d3300 w/ 50mm 1.8.
Great shots! We live about 6 miles from the BRP. We can get on the PW about 16 miles east of Mt. Mitchell. Born and raised here. Gone for several years. There is no place like these mountains! Home!
3. Do you have a photographic style that is recognizable by others or simply defines your photography. Absolutely! Since I primarily shoot fashion/beauty genre I have morphed into this genre's style... Studied and emulated the visual statements of top NYC Fashion Model Agencies...

You have most definitely achieved this Thomas! I was looking at newest pictures and saw this and immediately thought I wonder if Thomas posted that. And sure enough it was yours! I love your work, always flawless!
