There are so many beautiful pictures on this site and I to have trouble picking just one. Actually wish more folks would submit their shots. Anyway I take a lot of hummingbird shots and this is one of my favorites of them.

LOL. I knew after I started this thread what I would hear as I've read so many like it. Guess those of us that start these are hoping someone will make our decision for us lol. I'm trading in several lenses that I don't use so the $ hit won't be so bad. I was tilting towards the II so guess Ill get it. Thanks everyone for your comments, enjoy hearing other more educated comments.

Is the Canon 100-400 L II worth the extra $600-700? I'm thinking of buying the II. I'm not a pro but take extreme pride in my wildlife photos. Can the above average photographer see the difference.

The following pictures were taken during the Air Show at Luke AFB in 2015. Have seen them many times since 1971, the beginning of my AF career, and have never tired of them.

They man never stops, I have some photos I took when Charlie and his band were at the USAF Academy back in 1984, well a couple anyway. Was able to get backstage and got one of wife and the group. Very Blessed man.
