As a dad of a, now 24 year old, drop dead gorgeous girl (who has gotten past this stage), young girls and teen girls evaluate themselves - hard - against these doctored images. You can tell them that those women don’t even actually look like the pictures till you are blue in the face, they won’t get it. This spawns self-image issues, eating disorders, cutting, drug use and other maladies in these young, impressionable girls. IOW, it is destructive. It is also, to a degree, controllable and that is what CVS is attempting to do.
My daughter, healthy, happy and fortunately past thinking the pics are real.
