And you think the Republicans want to fix it? From the very start they've tried to derail Obama at every opportunity, and now he & his advisers gave them a boost.

Well, the ACA will not be repealed; and it will become a welcome and well run program. It is a program that is badly needed, and will, in the end, provide the health protection that insurance companies would not. You heard it first here.

Presume you're going for the high reward that comes with high risk. But the risk of getting out in front of the facts is high indeed. I am reminded of NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg predicting that the Time Square bomber would some right wing white guy. It turned out to be a Muslim. Or Michael Savage's prediction that the Virginia Tech shooter would be a Muslim. It turned out not to be. Then there was that far left college professor that predicted that G.W. Bush would declare martial law and make himself President for life. Is that why everything is still Bush's fault?

Your cheerleading may be emotionally satisfying but what rational basis do you have for your prediction :?:

Don't any of you actually read the Bible? The Bible was written by Jewish people and so reflects their customs. If you read about the wedding in Cannan, which states that Jesus provided the wine, then going by Jewish tradition, it was always the BRIDEGROOM who provided the wine!! Say no more-nudge,nudge,wink, wink.

Presume you're joking.

NIV John 2:1-1 wrote:
Jesus Changes Water Into Wine

2 On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, 2 and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. 3 When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.”

4 “Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”

5 His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

6 Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.

7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim.

8 Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.”

They did so, 9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10 and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”

11 What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.

Staples is the most painless way to shop Black Friday. I started there last year and followed the crowds at a comfortable distance the rest of the day. Behind two or less people in the checkout line most the time. Of course it helps to take the stores less traveled. I haven't shopped Best Buy on Black Friday in years.

Not people who live in a factual-based reality. There is nothing so consistent about Obama as the fact that he consistently lies. The lie about "keeping your health plan," for example, is just the most recent and obvious of his pattern of lying.

Right. I don't see how anyone can honestly take anything he says seriously. Yet some either do or know better and knowingly perpetuate the lies.

This is such bullshit. Creamer wrote Obamacare while in prison? He served a 5 month sentence in 2006. Obama was still just a senator then. He must have been an incredible fortune teller. When are you idiotic right wing crazies going to stop believing everything you read on the internet? This article is from Glenn Beck. The unassailable king of batshit crazy. And you of course take him at his word. Wow.

People here take Barack Obama at his word.

Great sense of humor! May I add to the list?
A. Wedding, as in, "Shooting a friend's wedding". Always worth at least 4 pages of "advice".
B. "All around zoom lens". Also worth 4 pages, including advice to, "Just get a god-damn prime lens and shoot film like I did forty years ago!"

Don't for forget "incident light meter". After all, who needs such obsolete relics when your incredibly accurate built-in meter knows exactly what it is seeing.

This reminds of another "chimping".

And leave you to peddling your revisions in peace? You all seem to forget, all the way up to Barry himself, that there is this thing called the internet and we can use it to compare what someone said (in front of a camera, or at least a mic) and what they're saying now that they had said. . .

This is why j.collinst should use "Quote Reply". My guess is that he was responding to Rongnongo instead of the OP. It was Rongnongo who whined about wasting time on this thread.

What's that old saying "some are more equal than others". If Obamacare is so wonderful, why isn't enforced for everyone?

What many mistook for a drumroll at the senate today was actually the sound of the Republican chins hitting their desktops along with the wailing an gnashing of teeth. The Democrats rule once again.

You must proud of the lying hypocrites who once called what they did yesterday "unAmerican" and "a naked power grab".

Would you still be proud of them if they tried to cancel future elections?

First, Thank You.

Second, the "Let's tell him what he wants to hear" brings to mind John kennedy and the "Missles of October".

As you may be aware, the Bay of Pigs incident happened in large part because the Joint Chiefs were telling Kennedy what they thought he wanted to hear.

Then, when the Cuban Missle Crisis was developing, Kennedy insisted they speak franky and openly and NOT just tell him what they thought he wanted to hear.

In many peoples opinion, this helped prevent an all out war with missles flying.

I wish all leaders, no matter what their role, acted more like that. I think we'd make better decisions more times than not.
