I never tried to count how many times I've been to Seattle. Never tried. Certainly, I enjoy learning and growing. I don't want to stop by putting my 'feet' in wet concrete for the rest of my life. Please keep an open mind, question the statements of anyone, personally investigate to confirm your beliefs or the beliefs of others you don't agree with. And get your news from at least 3 sources, no matter station/channel/common tater you prefer. If you also see Bloomberg, BBC, CNN, etc., you will get news stories you never heard on the channel you chose as your favorite. You might learn things, ideas, even more.

What a typical condescending liberal "superior to thou" response, and you can never see it. I watch all "news sources". The trick is to remember what they say for more than a week. Then YOU will truly wake up. Remember all the russia garbage on cnn, etc? ALL LIES to fool idiots into an agenda, on and on, and getting worse. For you to be so "superior" in your method of "life analysis" is very telling of a type ive had to deal with for far too long, far and wide. You exude the naive "faith in all humanity" that children have. If you dont know who you are, work on yourself first. Your head is in wet concrete when you cant see whats happening.

Really? It sounded like a lot of crap I remember hearing when I was growing up in the 60s, and continue to hear today from posters like yourself.

Oh, you mean before liberal "professors", rewrote history books for the weak minded who cant handle the truth. Before our schools stopped teaching history and started teaching "social justice"? Before avowed marxists infiltrated our schools and your hyper-sensitive cranium? Wake up from woke, its broke. Currents events might be more palatable for you. But if you are white, you now have to march at the pack of the blm pack, per the new posted blm "guidlines". And wash their feet while apologizing for history, to get more tail kissing in. Enjoy.

Usual bullshit deflection from the extreme right. Slavery dates from ancient times, and they weren't always black, but groups who were conquered by others. Don't think you're ready for the 21st Century, but it's time to at least move into the 20th, because you seem firmly stuck in the 1800s.

I was talking about a specific period and place. It helps to pay attention. And how typically liberal to think knowing real history and facts is a handicap. If the "advanced" 21st century is what we are seeing in Seatle, well, yah...a fine example of "modern" liberal mindset. Nothing sez liberal more than thinking everyone from the past was backward.

I hope you live a long time. You will change your mind. Or know that you should have long ago. - Tribalism is inherently bad. In this case 'tribalism' is acting like everything said or done by one political party is right and good, while the other political party is demonized.

I started life as a dumb dem, then i kept track of actual facts and woke up....as i matured. Living a long time without maturing mentally, well, no thanks, but you go right ahead. You stick to your liberalism. Go visit Seattle, see if you "pass" the criterion of the marxists there. They always eat their own. Always.

Africans had been trading in slavery for hundreds of years, if not millenia. Duh. How do liberals think it started? Double-duh. Yah, heavily laiden clumbsy europeans ventured into unknown hot jungles with single shot muskets against agile natives armed with fast efficient spears, knives, etc., and just "enslaved" them. No. They waited on shores for deliveries, BY BLACKS, leveraging an existing trade system. The arabian traders were not happy, till they grabbed more of it.
Look at african governments, to this day. Ever buy anything of worth from such governments? Oh, no slaves you say? How about some nice tribal trinkets, like a good guilty lib tourist perhaps? You can pat yourself on the back for "helping".
Liberals can never handle truth, so they try to erase it, and replace it with lies, propaganda, and "social justice". Yet never a peep about the 3000+ black on black murders annually, nevermind that hundreds of times more cops are slain by blacks than the other way around. You gonna call those thugs when you are being invaded and wife and daughters are in danger of being raped then murdered? You gonna call the cops? Or do ya grab the 12ga... Oh wait, you have "luberal reason" as your defender...you will just bend over.
Never a word about the massive numbers drug selling and whore pimping, both forms of black on black slavery. Black on black crime, rapes, etc. Never a word against (and usually pro) the murders of over 300,000 black babies by black women (mothers). Luberals are way too chicken for such.
Never a word against the undeniable social fabric devastation that the "dem plantation" and "great society" bs has brainwashed blacks into. Blm was founded on a court proven lie. There never was a "hands up". Subterfuge and lies for dem power. And blacks are enslaved to it
The hypocrisy is beyond liberal denial. Its a basic lack of humanity, morality, and intelligence.
The only way forward is unwavering truth of the REAL lessions of history. And personal responsibilty.
It seems much of the youth now have neither, courtesy of liberalized public schools.

I was born in the south and can still remember White Only signs on the laundromats etc. Can anyone explain why it was ever a good idea to honor a man (Lee) who was a traitor to his country and led the army of rebellion. I never understood that. Sure he was courageous and committed to the cause but he turned his back on the USA. Why honor him?

Because he fought for MANY people. Its basic stuff. Demonize him and you demonized half the nation. Thats just stupid. To have any possible chance of understanding history, you must first understand people. And you must understand the REALITY of living in such times. Not the lies, but the realities. The complex interwoven realities of many factions is always at work.

And never forget, it was black tribes that captured and enslaved blacks for sale. The Europeans tapped into an existing market, whose terminus was normally arabian countries at that time. Before that it was from tribe to tribe. That trade had been going on for centuries, if not millenia. Cultural. It is still going on under dem policies of the last 50+ years. The so-called "Great Society" became inner city slums, gov dependence (and now "entitlements"), drugs, destroyed family structure (fathers absent), etc. Slavery has been a part of most previous civilizations, OF ALL RACES. Now its just done by the democrat political systems. The promises of "If you dont vote for me, you aint black" syndrone. The only way to real pride is by self-reliance and hard work. Its not something you can "hand out" or legislate. Increasing crime by lowering enforcement of base societal safety certainly wont do it.

The astounding failures of our schools to keep marxist thought, teachings, indictrinations, and agendas nailed down has never been so evident.
Marxist playbook: control the media, control the schools, control the minds. Use racial division at every opportunity, as the democrat strategy. Always classify, categorize, dem-onize, and divide.

What a naive comment. You didnt live during that time. Your "intellectual artogance" is beyond astounding, but typical of liberals. If you had lived during that time would you have refused to wear cotton?
Do you now refuse to wear cotton, "in honor" of yourself?

There's a battle outside and it's ragin'
will soon shake your windows
And rattle your hall
For the times, they are a changing"

When standing in for an English Teacher, I introduced the 9th graders to Dylan years before he was awarded the Nobel Prize... To my supprise the 9th graders had never heard of him!!!

Ninth graders now are far more clueless. The marxist socialist communist agenda is always to erase and change history. When you take away a country's history, you take its foundations. Remove the foundations, and that country falls.

I follow and watch a lot of photography videos and I am wondering a what point does taking a photo of an individual tree become a requirement. A lot of photographers seem to do this. It really hasn't appealed to me, is there something I am missing? They seem to go on and on about the composition and how beautiful the scene of the single tree is. I don't get it! What am I missing???

The sale.
