The Cincinnati zoo has a new hippo exhibit. Tried to get a decent underwater shot before, but lighting was terrible. Went back again late in the day and the low angle sun lit up a small section of the observation glass.

You may be entitled to your unfortunate opinions, but not your own facts. Both arctic and antarctic sea ice are more than two sigma below the 1981-2010. If you don't understand basic staticstics, I can help you out. Graphs are attached showing declining sea ice levels. I look forward to your graphs.

There has been a lot of confusion on this issue. Antarctic sea ice area has been increasing until recently, but the increased volume of ice has been more than offset by melting in West Antarctica. There are various theories about why the sea ice area should increase - mine is that the sea water is freshening due to glacier runoff which raises the freezing point and gives you more ice.
Melting at the north pole (arctic) does not raise sea levels since the ice is floating. Melting in Antarctica, Greenland and land based glaciers does raise it.
