Thank you for another nice east TN post. Is Cades Cove on your agenda?
Very nice and all in one day! That is a good week's work.
Thank you for your post. We visited Westminster, Bath and arrived at Cantebury in time for Sunday worship. Also visited St. Paul's. I have always been impressed by the size and beauty of these buildings and they were all built before the days of modern day power tools.
I was in Memphis Zoo this past week and used my Nikor AFS 18-200 3.5-5.6 that did fine. Some of the best shots I have had recently If you are interested search this site for
"Trip to Memphis Zoo"
If this is your first effort at zoo photography I recommend a Google search for tips on photographing at zoo. You will find a number of tips of how to deal with the problems you will face. Have a great trip
Thank you for sharing these. The photos are beautiful and it is good to see the beauty of your country
My best guess is that it was a small piece of bamboo. I remember he had a larger piece in his hand at one time. I agree he does resemble someone using a cellphone. Thanks again for your compliments JP
Thanks everyone for your compliments
Thank you..this was my first time to photograph gorillas. A zoo trip is a good trip.
Thank you for your response
Thank you it was a very good day
These are a few shots from a great day at the Memphis Zoo. I am not sure which was most fun the animals or watching the children. The primates are better when downloaded and zoomed in to pick up the faces and expression.

Bingo! I am there "even as we speak" looking out over the white sand and emeral water from our balcony. All the suggestions above are good. There are some unspoiled areas that have been preserved where there is no development. One of those is the Top'sl preserve just east of Destin.Public access is from 30A or if you are staying @ Sandestin or Top'sl resorts it is a short walk down the beach. The drive down 30 A will take you thru Grayton Beach, Watercolors and Seaside. Have a great time. Joe Peva
Thank for sharing this post and the rapeseed one also..... Very nice. It is good to see the Waterford area. My wife loves the crystal that bears the name and over the years I have purchased a number of pieces as special gifts.
