Misc. Flowers, Add Rubbing Alcohol, Light, Run camera at 8 frames/sec. The yellow picture is lightly PP. The Blue is adjusted white balance. For some reason, it didn't transfer well to jpeg. The raw file looks fine. My question is, does the light part of the flame in the middle help or hurt the photo?

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. here is another one, I tried to get a little foreground in and block the security light on the mine across the way. A little longer exposure.

Yes, The moon was almost full. I used a Pentax K-3 with Sigma 10-20mm. ISO 400. F6.7. Exposure time was 145 seconds. Minor PP.
Thanks, Always fun getting a good mountain shot. I can't tell you how many times I have stopped at that lake and never seen it that still.
Just a guess, I shot the lake picture on Tuesday the 12th. Silverton looks about the same. Probably 10 days-2 weeks. It seems like Red Mtn changes first. Dallas Divide is usually about a week behind.
I spent some time in the high country lately.

http://durangophotographyclub.org/ I am a member of the Durango Photography Club. 70ish members. I joined about 5 years ago. We have a 2 hour meeting once a month. The first hour is some sort of presentation and the second hour we call Image Share. We email up to 3 images to our VP and he presents them to the club(Projector/Screen). We usually have 30-40 images each month. We usually send in what we are working on, having problems with, whatever. We have many good photographers in the club and area. My photography has greatly improved just seeing what other people are doing.
We have a club competition/dinner in February each year. Each member may enter up to 3 prints. Awards are voted on by the club members, no names are allowed on the print.
We are also in charge of the Photography Exhibit at the County Fair in August. This is open competition to the public and is judged by an outside judge(Someone different every year). The Fair Exhibit averages 300 entries divided into a bunch of different catagories.
Dues are a very reasonable $20.00/year!!
