I keep mine in a backpack, ready to go all the time. My extra stuff on a shelf.
Went to a backpack recently as the weight on a sid bag was lulling me out of line and giving me pain.
Need to be carful as I'm 91.
I go with what I need. At my age I can't load up. Ask yourself what do I need for the shots I'm going to take.
I have traveled Europe and Asia with one camera and 2 lenses (about 10Lbs). A 24-250 and 200-400.
As a person who purchased too many tripods, I can tell you how I solved my problem. I took my equipment to a store and put my stuff on each tripod till found one the fit me. It was the correct height (not having to extended it) with the camera on it, sturdy and was comfortable to handle (setting up and moving around). Can't do that on line.
Push myself to get better and help other get better.
I drive for over an hour each way to the camera store. It's worth it to keep them alive. I can pick up, handle and ask questions about each thing before buy it. You can talk to a person that has several brands of equipment and have the knowledge to answer questions.
I have not noticed that, but I am one of them as it is a nuisance to go thru all of the items. In the pastbI looked at the discussion first in the morning and the pictures etc latter in the day. I can not do my review on my Iphone as when I look atb an item and return it goes back to the original page and I have to go back to the beginning and find my way back. Too bad the change, but it's still part of my day only it take longer.
I have 2 friends that do it 3D
I use and like the Canon Pro 1000. I picked it because I want to an Camera Expo and Canon was using the Pro 1000 as the demo. If they use it as a demo it doing to be good for me.
CHG CANON had the correct answer. What's better chocolate or vanilla. Or what is the better camera?
We can learn if we want. Some of us slower than other. Looking for help may be part of it. Find a club ask some one you see holding a camera. Look on line.

You seem to have a reason for whatever. So good luck./
Mike Moats (look him up) is a teacher of Macro Photography who believes you don't need to spend a fortune. He has thought this for 15+ years around the US. Will use an inexpensive camera and lens to prove you don't need to be rich.
When I'v traveled to Europe and Asia. I carry 2 lenses a 23 - 240 and a 100-400. Both fit with my camera in a pack the weighs about 10 lbs. I has covered me for years. I had a 5D and now R5.
The f stop depends on what you soot and what you want. f stop controls your "depth of field" as well as the option to shoot in a darker situation. So what do you shoot? I don't need the low "f" stop so I don't spend the extra money for the "better lens". my white (pro) 70 to what ever is a f4 vs an f2.5 and the savings was over a thousand dollars.
