Yes, whatever you do, do this move within Lightroom or you'll lose all your cataloging.............it probably makes sense to upgrade to Lightroom 5.7 also
Is this a professional shoot? Are you driving or flying? If this is a vacation, IMHO you shouldn't take more than 1 or 2 bodies and 2 to 4 lenses....maybe a tripod if you are really serious...
The federal courts have ruled that if the business does not have a facility in a state then they are not required to collect sales tax for that state. Amazon did not have any fixed structures in California and they still caved. I believe they now have a distribution here in Mexifornia. Jerry Brown and the socialists running this crap-hole state never saw a tax scheme they didn't love.
The great thing about the United States is that you can move anyplace you wish. I suggest doing the research to find a state with a tax scheme that suites you better. Unfortunately, sooner or later, all online sales will be taxed just like any store you buy from today.
I recommend just Lightroom to start learning. Once Don reaches the point where he needs layers, he can add Photoshop or Elements. If you try to learn both at the same time, it will take forever.
