I love zebras. Left unenhanced, their B&W patterns are extremely photogenic. But, for me, they are also subjects just waiting to be Photoshopped. jdm

Thank you, LInda, for your kind words. jdm
Oops, I'm repeating myself. jdm
Thanks everyone for the great input! I have a lot to chew on. That, and convincing my wife I need another camera. jdm

As an engineer, I have always appreciated bridges for their strength and utility. As a photographer, I enjoy bridges for their aesthetics and form. Below are some of my favorite bridge shots. jdm

Yeah, I did consider the D810, but thought it was a little out of my price range. Plus I'm not sure I need all those megapixels. But you're right -- it's one heck of a camera. jdm
I got my Nikon D300S back in 2010 and have loved and used it ever since. However, I've been on the lookout for its upgraded version/replacement (i.e. same price range [~$2500 body only] with same robustness and versatility and whatever improvements Nikon has come up). I thought for a while it might have been the D610. Now the D750 looks awfully good. Is the D750 what I've been looking for, or should I keep waiting? Any insights would be mucho appreciated. jdm
Good to here from you, Don. Kings Pointers and the people connected to them make up a close and special community. In fact, my class ('64) has its own google site where we conduct a lot of dialogue and repartee -- it definitely keeps us connected after all these years. Below is a picture taken from the Academy's waterfront on Long Island Sound looking west toward the Throggs Neck Bridge (taken in 1964 but later enhanced in Photoshop). jdm
Absolutely gorgeous shot of Mt St Helens! I've taken numerous shots of Mt St Helens (a couple below) but they don't hold a candle to yours. Kudos. jdm

If you think it's tough to catch a clear view of Mt Hood, try driving all the way up to the Johnson Overlook in Washington to view Mt St Helens (well over 100 miles from Portland), only to find it's clouded over. Now that's a bummer. jdm
Basquet Lady: Here's a shot I took several years ago of Mt Hood from Mt Tabor (near where I grew up). jdm
