Well done, I think you should be proud of your accomplishment, especially for a first timer. Bill
The man behind the camera strikes again!! Well Done. Bill
Nice set but download is a must to appreciate. Bill
COSTCO----1hour service and decent quality. Enlargements on canvas is another story. Take files on thumb drive to COSTCO or memory chip. Best price that I have found, watch for specials.
These prove its the person behind the camera that creates such fabulous art. PP was "right on". Thanks for sharing Mike.
Excellent photos, makes one wonder the ancestry.Bill
Hundreds of slides, hundreds of film strips maybe 1000's of individuals + what my friends have -have no idea their numbers but guess the numbers would be similar.
I would like to thank all UHH members who offered their "been there, done that"comments. I have purchased the Epson V600 at Amazon for less than $200 new. I have older friends
that have similar collections and I wanted to have the capability to do 14x20 enlargements or larger to cover our combined collection of 35mm slides. Bill
Thanks, I was on Amazon and searched the 700 and the 800
showed up.
Thanks for the info, will investigate. Bill
I have numerous slides that I would like to have digitized. Local COSTCO does not offer this service. They did but have discontinued. I still want to experiment and am looking for recommendations where I can have this done. I read somewhere the end result would give a digitized image
equal to expensive DSLR's in the 24mp category. I find this
hard to believe. Would appreciate any comments on "been there, done that" experience. What are the pitfalls?
Exceptional post. Would you be so kind to give route you took.
I live in Littleton, CO and would like to take a similar trip.
I have received approx 11 replies to my call for HELP. I now have information to help my friend. He hasn't selected a camera yet, he will experiment with my D7100. My guess he will want a FF and I will suggest the Nikon Df. Think this will work, no plastic--16 megapixel may not match his long term goal. D810 will be next in line. I want to thank each of the UHH resonders. Bill (jbeejay80120)
I'm not certain. I do know he has a large collection of Nikon lenses. He is somewhat of a perfectionist so the resolution he was able capture indicates to me it would have been one of the best Nikon 35mm available 40 years ago.
A friend asked about enlargements with a D7100. I've read a
a few things but my friend was a professional photographer for
many years and his home is filled with lovely photo's, some large all done before digital and he wants to learn digital with
huge enlargements being his goal. I can't answer his questions. I'm looking for recommendations from D7100 users
that have made 20x30 enlargements or larger and also panoramic enlargements. Any books, links, experience, would be greatly appreciated.
