We are finally seeing a glimpse of fall here in CA. The first shot is most of my backyard just to give some perspective on the trees. I have a lot of Japanese Maples which are normally lovely but this year the weather has burned most of the leaves and color is not as nice. I have a few Dogwoods. Not as spectacular as East Coast colors but pretty!

Beautiful pics, Betty....we're getting some fall colors in N CA now..I was out this morning running errands, and the valley looks like someone painted it with a paintbrush...the vineyards are turning gorgeous colors now too...Hope to get out and get some pics this weekend....can't wait for the time to do that. Again..nice shots!

This is one of the 2 polar bears at the Alaska Zoo.

I think the b/w really adds some depth to the image.

This was exposed with a Canon 7D, a 28/105 f/3.5 - 4.5 USM
lens that day.

Awesome shot, John!

From my front yard it is hard to take beautiful sunset photos due to the all the trees. A few nights ago we had an exception as it painted the whole sky beautifully.

Very nice shot. I have the same problem in my neighborhood...keep watching for a sunset like yours.

After seeing instructions on the creation of a Kaleidoscopic image I had to give it a try. This is my second image and was created using Photoshop CS5. Let me know what you think of it.

I am also including my first image without the original.

Interesting edits...nice job.

I like #1, looks like a very peaceful setting. I would like it more if the pole and pipe (?) on the right side were cropped out? Just a suggestion. Good shots though.
