We are coming to an end of our trip, including a cruise up the east coast, ending in Montreal. Not long before we left Alaska, I purchased an RX100VII as a travel (and possibly an only) camera, but didn’t have an opportunity to use it, save for familiarizing myself with it. Thankfully, having the A6300 gave me a leg up on things a bit.
That said, I have no regrets at all purchasing this camera. It was expensive, but in my opinion, it was worth it. I am thoroughly pleased with it. It’s fast, sharp, and renders colors nicely. I’ve gotten used to the small controls, so that’s a non-issue. It handles well and performs consistently well. The only issue I’ve had is that when photographing buildings, there is a problem with those vertical lines converging toward the top. I realize that this can be an issue at the lens’s short end, but it’s worse than I expected. I may need to do some studying on how to deal with that. I think there is some software that can straighten out the converging lines. Anyway, aside from that, I love this little camera. I had a couple people ask me about it, and one lady who was having issues with her Fuji bridge camera, looked at the Sony and advised that she was going to buy one ASAP!!
This RX100VII has found a permanent home. I have absolutely no regrets buying this camera. Here’s a shot of some fall colored maple leaves, just as an example. Also one of Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse.

Very nice images, Wingpilot! I especially like the color and texture of the maple leaves.
