Dogs have a sense we humans don't have. It's called unconditional love. When your sick, they stay by your side. Sally realizes Josh is not an adult. That is why she is so good with him. Many a dogs protect the children of the house. Too bad mankind is not like that. If man were like dogs there would be no wars.

I received an email from B&H Photography & they said they are getting their shipment of Nikon mounts on 4/1/2015. Hopefully that is correct about Sigma shipping them the lens. I'm sure B&H has a large back-order list.

I ordered mine in December & got it then. Unfortunately it was a Sigma Mount & not a Nikon mount. Sent it back & now waiting for the Nikon mount. Production has been slow. Sigma did not anticipate the large call for it. I am on back-order too & can't wait for it to come out. I'm drooling with anticipation. I also bought a Circular polarizer 2X lens for it, which is laying in wait.

I agree with you Mac. Maybe I'm still thinking of the old film/slide days. I want it perfect the first time without having to do anything to the photo. Unfortunately I do have to use Photoshop to crop, lighten or darken my pictures. I guess I'm a perfectionist. Getting it right the first time is my objective. Too many people spend more time fixing what they should have gotten in the first place.

I love models trains & wish I had what you have set up. Unfortunately I have no place to set up my 4 sets of model trains up. Not even a basement. Maybe if I win a lottery someday (wishful thinking) I'll have a house with a room just to set up my trains.

Nothing like the unconditional love of a dog.

Too bad adults can't act like that. There maybe some hope for the world yet. The two of them are really adorable. Would have loved to see them from the front.

MT. What is your take on the differences of the two lenses. We have talked but about the SB 910 which I'm still having trouble figuring out what settings I should use. Every time I think I got it solved same problem appears. but lets stick to the lens subject. What is your opinion? Maybe Nikonian can chime in too. Oh by the way, I love the D4s. Finally got the David Busch books on it. Quite a few differences & upgrades. Looking forward to your answer. Mike.

I'm considering getting the Sigma lens but the one question in my mind (I know, what mind) is: What is the difference between the "Sports" lens & the "Contemporary" lens. The specifications listed look the same.

Steve. I have been to the Miami Zoo often. The gorillas always give me great photos. Here is one I took on my last visit.

Debbie. I am an avid amateur photographer & being the nut job that I am I bought the D4 when it first came out. When the 18-300 first came out there was a $300.00 rebate so I pounced on it. This is one nut job that isn't sorry about doing it. Like Romanticif16 & Boney, I love the lens. Gives me sharp picture wither it's set for 16 or 300mm. The great thing about the D4 is that you can use both FX & DX lenses on it. When using a DX lens, the area that is not in the picture is gray in the viewfinder so you actually see what you are getting. The 18-300 replaced two lens that I would be carrying around. While the combo is heavy & alot of times I use both hands holding it when I'm walking around, the pictures that I get are well worth it cause they are excellent except when I screw up focusing properly. I have even used a 2X teleconverter on it with no problems where as when I try to use it on my 80-400 lens I have a ton of problem trying to focus in both auto & manual.
