I'm surprised this topic only generated 3 pages of responses!

We all know how to pronounce 'pirates', so why isn't 'pilates' pronounced as 'pilots'?

The really neat thing about the 'Heavy' launch is they plan to bring all 3 sections of the 1st stage(s) back down. Two at the air force station, and the third on the drone ship (platform), 'Of course I still love you' out on the ocean. Our viewing spot is no secret, that's why it pays to get there early. The launch on 1/31 didn't come back, though it must have made one hell of a splash! The road out to the Canaveral seashore (Playalinda beach) is the closest, but as mentioned, it may be closed. I'll see if I can get more info. Greg.

That's really good from Daytona! We were at the port (Canaveral), 10.2 miles away. It takes about 45 seconds for the sound to reach us at that distance. From pad 39A add another 10 seconds. I can give you directions, but for the Heavy we'll go at least 2 hours before the 1:30pm launch window. It would take you just over an hour to get here too.

A similar email came around several years ago about something special in July that wouldn't occur for some 800 odd years. The July in the email wasn't even correct for the year mentioned, and of course the 'event' would occur every few years anyway. I figured it was a way to propagate malware that wasn't working as desired. Greg.

Perhaps you can go into the quick settings (swipe down, maybe twice) where the flashlight is. There is a setting in there to switch between portrait only, and auto rotate mode. Try it both ways. Greg.

I've seen a lot of these and they all have one thing in common. Two drivers being stupid at the same time. Defensive driving? Nyet.

I got that one correct. A while back I did another of Jerry's links and kept going, then I noticed that I was seeing the same questions again. I wrote them down as I answered and discovered that for whatever reason, I was in a loop of something like 22 questions. It did improve my average, but got kind of annoying after 3 or 4 times through. I have encountered the same question back to back once in a while, or maybe with 2 or 3 in between, but never a repeating loop until that time.

I'm pretty sure it's connected with MB, but what I'm thinking of has a name - probably the name of the city where it's located. I want to say it's Nurburing, or something like that. I suppose I could consult Google, but that's sooooo complicated.

LOL

Thanks

You're thinking of the Nurmburgring (sp?) track, nothing near 90 degrees on it. I just looked it up, yes the test track with the vertical turn is MB.

No, it's not a 1954, this photo shows bulging rear fenders and a split windshield. A 54 had flat(er) sides and a wrap around windshield. This looks more like a ~1951 + or -2 that my parents had when I was really young.

Reminds me of the ABS Wheel Covers (hub caps) I saw years ago. Was the company attempting to get a buyer to think they 1) need these wheel covers if they have ABS on the vehicle or 2) putting them on the car would add ABS and the associated insurance discount. Duh, ABS really referred to the type of plastic they were made of but that was not apparent by looking at the box. I remember seeing a little mini tripod, maybe 6-8 inches tall, that was 'digital ready' at a Target store.
