Any ideas on these printers ? I've used Epson for a long time but ink has become very expensive & seemingly empty. I print 8x10 and 13x19 color often and, it seems I can get only a few before I need more (expensive) ink. These are 2 in my price range. Do I need to go higher ? My experience with off-brand inks is disastrous.

Canon pro 1 user and love it ! Primarily got a shock and called Canon help ! We updated the firmware and ink usage is now at a much better usage to date ! Although the cost is much better it still is a little pricey but the quality is great in my opinion !!

That is right to the nth degree ! Coward not obvious in his skills like we have been accustom to for the past few years ! People kinda' wanting to kick McCain under the bus ! There are many who have less on the line of over there experience ! That is no doubt why he displays feelings and experience of what is needed ! one thing for sure i value his comments I see on news and in political points in congress. We really need some people that are ready to go to our freedom and security of this country ! Some one who will draw in the monies we give to all these countries that do not care for us and we just keep sending money ! The need is to shoot people in the foot who drive the budget multi-trillions bypassing all the congress help as they are suppose to maintain the funds. Need to take the pen and bypass paperwork from the president to help gain control !

He does not need to worry about the financial side of campaign as some do ! He has no fear to bring out "others" shortcomings as he sees them ! Being so forward about his ideas would be concerning to other enemy , is an asset that they have developed a no worry today that they had in the past !! we need be watch and listen to all that is discussed throughout the coming months . We must work hard to changes that are needed to get ourselves reestablished to the past !!

Hello -

I need to photograph some framed art to post it onto Ebay, but the glass reflects my image, regardless of whether I'm shooting in direct or indirect light. Suggestions (apart from taking the art out of the frame?)

My setup for copy of pictures was 2 lights on each side of work at a 45 each side. Also I used a flash in a softbox at a 45 as well. Very good results with this set up as well. I picked this up brought in a very large antique for copy. My friend request was wait i will copy the work and you take it back with you . If you leave it here and the place burns down we both would feel bad !

Hi, I have an iMac and as all iMac users know Apple has changed from iPhoto to Photos. I dislike it immensely and have switched back to iphoto.Would someone recommend something else that's not too sophisticated and complicated as I'm a amateur and still trying my hand at P/P.
Thanking you all in advance,
Ray.

I-Mac was recommended to me a couple of years ago ! It was a little bit of a hustle going from a PC to the I-Mac operating system ! After getting the learning curve jitters soothed down it is a much better and easy to operate. Running Photoshop for my opinion is much better for my Photography work and there are more tools to use for editing your photos! I will vote for I-Mac as my preference hands down !! I personally recommend Adobe products for editing but that is all I have really used from the start ! There are adobe that are very reasonably price that might be acceptable for you if the I photo is a problem ! good luck and happy times with your photography !!

Looking at the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Nikon F. Does anyone have/used it? Considering using it on my new D750 for all around work and macro. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I am a canon user shooting through 50mm 1.4 sigma ART and will say this I have never seen any negative results yet ! shot some inside shots and the results were fantastic ! it is somewhat weighty but it is sure makes great sharp and contrasty images .

I am not familiar with lightroom ! I have Photoshop on my computer. I went to system preferences, set the resolution best for me and set the screen brightness to my liking . It automatically maintains screen to room light. Sent photos to a friend and he said they were fine .

I bit the bullet and purchased a Sigma 50 mm 1.4 ART and it is super great user in my opinion ! My next for walk around is Canon 24 x 105 f 4.o . It is not a fast lens so an increase in iso may be required on occasion but it lays down a very nice image ! Could possibly be the lens of choice for the trips !!

After more than 40 years in the Dental Profession it's my last day! :D :D :D :D :D :D now the only mouth to look after is my own.

You will love the fact of not routinely going to the office for sure ! If you want to you might consider an occasional medical mission just to keep your in mouth work up to date. What ever you do spend a lot of time on getting your photo work honed to a peak and possibly send an occasional photo to the ugly hedgehog ! I pray you have a long and happy retirement. I have been on retirement since 1099 and like it a little better each and every day !!

WOW !! I had a total darkroom that I printed cibachromr from 35 mm and 6 x 7 transparencies for many years and loved it ! The only darkroom that I have now is my computer. Reading your add really started the old darkroom juices flowing again but I will have to gain control and say no but there is a someone who can hook up on a fantastic system here !
