When we got to our condo in Depoe Bay, OR, we walked out onto the balcony and the first thing we saw was whales about 50 feet from shore! There were four in the cove. Here are two of them.
As many of you know, my heart is in street photography. But hey! Cameras and lenses are expensive and street pix don't pay the bills. So sometime ago I decided to start doing head shots. I was taking some respectable photos, but not getting the look I wanted. I had the opportunity to take a workshop with Lisa Pane this week. Lisa is one of only 120 Peter Hurley Headshot Crew associates in the world. If you don't know who Peter Hurley is, Google him. We are fortunate that Lisa has decided to move from West Hartford, CT to Boise. This is a photo I took of one of the other photographers in the workshop, Michelle. Still not quite where I want to be, but a definite improvement and headed in the right direction.
I love the geometry and symmetry of shadows.
I LOVE black and white. Thanks for hosting this.

Been trying to download the finished product but the photo is a merge and I'm getting a 'too large" message in spite of cutting it down some what. The house looks great! I'll keep trying.. :sm09
Yea! cut the size a little more to get it posted!!
Looks great! No worries this winter. Did Bill get the ice dam problem fixed?

We both laughed out loud on account of your reply!
For the fun of it ,I will post a couple more gems..
On the larger picture, you can see that Grandpa Pierpont's tie matches Grandma's dress. He was always a class act. Is that Billy or Karen that Mom is holding?

Hey Thom....Remember this ?

Karen is now 50+ yrs. old....Do you remember how you got the shinner ?
Rather fight than quit add?
Oh, I remember it well! I think this photo was taken in the spring of 1968. I broke my nose in high school on the floor exercise in gymnastics. I lived with that broken nose until about five years ago when I finally got it straightened. For those who might think that I smoked and participated in gymnastics, I didn't. This was a parody of a popular commercial at the time.
Thanks for the memory.

Thanks Photogirl. Trapped in a clean room wearing that bunny suite for hours on end didn't lend itself to the most comfortable of conditions. You learned real fast not to drink a lot of water! Think about all the poor folks who make memory every time you turn on your cell phone, computer, or put a memory card in your camera.
I much prefer the work I do in the second photo.
