My new SX50 arrived yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately, yesterday was totally overcast and rainy. It is sunny outside today, so I went out in the back yard to test it. Luckily for me, this little guy wanted to ham it up for the camera! :D

Nice camera, and great photos, Howard and Pepper. :) :)

Now this is funny even if you've seen it before
A tender kiss is all in your mind. If this doesn’t put a smile on your face i'm not sure what will!!http://www.wimp.com/kissingtest/

That was way to funny! What a great way to start my day! Thank you.

Thank you, Janyce. Hopefully, once the snow clears, maybe spring will reward us all with some beautiful flowers to photograph.

Thank again for the nice comment. :)

D3200. Thinking of getting my daughter this camera. I'm Nikon dumb, so anyone that has one or knows about it...I welcome your thoughts on a 'starter' camera. She takes great photos with her iPhone, but she needs a DSLR to enter the real photography world. Many thanks. BTW..it refurbished (which doesn't bother me) and is selling for $369 with an 18-55mm VR lens and Lightroom 5.

That sounds like a good choice. If she likes doing still life, close up of flower, and landscapes, then the 18-55mm is perfect. For portraits, I'd recommend a 105mm f2.8 lens.
Happy shooting. :)

We still have snow so I bought a few flowers to help me think of spring...little table top and window light. Added a little drama art in the lightroom.

Good stuff. The forks are inspired an remind me of the work of Chema Mandoz. Check him out. Meanwhile, keep shooting.

:) I love his work! He "sees" art in everything around us. He's amazing. I like his spoon image with the fork shadow. Thank you for the nice comments.
