This morning Bill Hancock posted an absolutely stunning AI image of Jesus Christ on AI Artistry and Creation. It was summarily removed by the Moderator because it allegedly violated the Forum rules. Bill then posted the same image to the Christian Photography Group but was told AI images were not allowed.

We now face a conundrum. If the image was a photograph of a painting, it could be posted in Photo Gallery or Chit-chat with no questions asked. I am forced to ask if the image was removed from AI Artistry and Creation because of its religious context. Did I miss the prohibition of religious images on UHH or the relegation of them to Christian Photography Group?
This morning Bill Hancock posted an absolutely stu... (show quote)

My feeling is just about the same as the others. Color all the way! Love the color on the front of the engine as well as the blue sky!

Thank You, glad you enjoyed it !!!

I've given my shots a different treatment to avoid that "stuffed" look

My initial impression is the scene isn't conducive to b&w, both for the tonal range and the number of small details overall. I took a screenprint of your color and ran it through the presets of Nik Silver Efex, along with trying some color filters to enhance one or more of the greens, blues and red. Nope, it just doesn't speak to me without color

As I was doing it that thought occurred to me, I hadn't thought about too many small details, though. I also used the B&W filter and adjusted those same channels and didn't care for that result either. Thank You, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts !!!

Neat composite! With its limited tonal range, I think we need color to separate the elements. The red engages us immediately. I'm interested to know your thoughts on the black and white version, Dave.

Thank You Linda, I enjoy B&W, though seeing in B&W is an area where I need to improve. This one needs more tonal range as you noted, and contrast for starters. What would you have done differently with this one ?

The scenic shot is from Alaska in 2012 and the Train is from Garvan Gardens Model Train layout in 2022. Thought I'd share.

If you would like, please click on the picture, doing so will link you to the gallery page where the shot can be seen in higher resolution and full page. Thanks for viewing and Have A Blessed Day !!!
