The lens that is a must for most sports photographers is the 70-200 2.8 lens, PRM aka Peter Read Miller once commented during an interview if he could only have one lens in his bag the 70-200 would be that lens. I at one time used a Sigma 50-500 lens but sold it after I found at 500 the edges were soft and fuzzy. My go to camera body for photographing sports for years was the Canon 7D. I later purchased a Sony A6000 for the quick auto focus, and also to take advantage of the 11 fps frame rate. I use an adapter to covert my Canon 70-200 mm lens, the 100-400 lens for sports.

Use your camera, keep notes on the shots so you can later review what settings you used to get a certain shot or shots. Investing in better lenses in most cases, is the best way to take better advantage of your current cameras capabilities. When that body no longer has the features that you desire, or is no longer serviced by Canon then consider upgrading your camera body.

You would have better odds with your camera budget dollars by going to the nearest casino and playing the roulette wheel. If you won't want a camera or equipment with a US Warranty, want to have your credit card charged immediately as soon as you place your order regardless if the product you chose is in stock, if you think you have made a purchase only to be contacted later and advised you might need to purchase "our battery package, or extended warranty, go ahead and send your money to 42nd Street, make their day increase their profit.

Think Tank Hydrophobia, I have used it for years with great dry results. No mater which one you might choose be sure and practice installing the cover before you are in a heavy rain storm to do your first install. It will save you frustration and giving the appearance you are wearing boxing gloves during the install

I have been down that road. I have a have a mid 2011 27" Imac. The hard drive failed, I had the hard drive replaced by a local Apple Service Provider. Thank goodness for Time Machine Backup on an external hard drive. The hard drive was replaced with the identical 1 TB hard drive what was original to the machine. The out the door price for replacing the hard drive and labor at that time was $270. The cost to replace the hard drive is far less than the cost for a new Mac Mini, even given the forecast that Mac minis will be upgraded, the last upgrade by the way was 2014. Certainly with a new hard drive in the 27" Imac would be a more solid machine

I can vouch for the fact that the equipment ratings are usually correct. If you ship a piece of equipment to them for evaluation, quotes are quickly given, some used equipment sellers are slow to give quick offers or quotes

I use Lightroom and photos are kept on an external hard drives. The photos after editing are copied on another separate machine. The edited files, and also the RAW versions if I chose are uploaded to my Zenfolio website. Should I loose files I can download the original files from Zenfolio. I also use "Time Machine" to back up my work, a life saver when the hard drive in my main work machine failed.

It is amazing at times when you do a search if you type Lightroom in a search it wants to show a misspelled, or Photoshop also. How did the Brits decide to select "Loo" vs toilet, terlet if you use Archie Bunker dialect. At a picnic a lady who had lived in England for years said she had to go to the Loo and having just met many of the folks, I was racking my brain trying to recall if I met Lou. If you are on an airplane the toilet becomes the Lav, or the Lavatory.

The far easiest way to get Lightroom/Photoshop CC help is the chat mode. It makes their instructions in text, and if push comes to shove you can allow them to share you screen, and many times they can easily correct the problem, or fix the problem quickly
