Thanks! I learnt a lot too!
May 21 - Spotted a red-shouldered hawk perched near what looked like an abandoned nest. Later visits showed two chicks, and I was able to photograph their progress most days until they fledged and left the nest.
I was able to set up about 100 feet from the nest, shot everything with my Sony A6600 and a Sigma 150-600 mm lens, tripod mounted.
I hope you enjoy the story!

I really like the 70-350 that I use with my A6600. It's a bit short for birds, but a lot lighter than my 150-600 Sigma alternative!
Sample attached at 350mm, f6.3, 1/1600
I have the Sony 70-350 on my A6600, and love it!
I have hardly used my Sigma 150-600 since I bought the Sony lens, mostly because of weight and focussing speed.
Much of the advantage of the APS-C format is the smaller size of the lens.
Especially when you're old!
Love those shots!
I used to ride steam trains to school in the UK in the late 1940's
The problem is that you have the Windows Taskbar showing at the bottom of the screen. Right click on the taskbar and go to taskbar settings. There you have several options Make sure "Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode" is "On". If that doesn't work, move the taskbar to the right or left.
Hope this helps!
Caught this beauty while out for a walk this afternoon. Amazing number of acorns stored in his/her tree.
Sony A6600 70-350 mm, f11, 1/500
I have used mine as my one travel lens on my A6000 and it has been an extremely effective and useful lens. I just upgraded to an A6600 and will also use it there.
A great buy!
