Thank you for you advices. What is gray card and how to use it? Thank you.
I randomly picked one of hundreds of my photos of birds. It's taken in RAW. Can be post processed but I want my photos to be originally good. How to estimate the right exposure? I do it by trial and error method. What should I do different?
excellent birds photos! My questions are more of technical character:
-what metering should I use?
-how to prevent underexposure of black birds in the sky?
-how to determine shutter speed for different flying birds?
Unfortunately, the noise is always the problem when I shoot in high shutter speed, like 1000-2000, even in good light. I will try 7d as well if it will help me but I am afraid that it won't reduce the noise to compare with my lovely t3i (the same sensor).
Thank you for tips. I just upgraded my Canon T3i to Canon 6d. The main reason I choose 6d is noise that is significantly less than in crop cameras, like 7d. What do you do with the noise when shooting with high shutter speed and high iso? I hate noise (physical and photographic)
I would like to hear from experienced birds photographers the tips and tricks they use in photographing birds. It is especially challenging to capture birds in flight. I will greatly appreciate any advice.
So, it's seriously will be that super zoom? I definitely have to try it. I wonder about quality too. How good can it be with bridge camera. Canon 100-400 is excellent. Thank you for your reply.
I asked because with different crop factors the zoom will be different. Am I right? As far as I understand, the image in full frame camera and cropped camera will look different. Or I am wrong?
I think of getting Leika v -Lux 4, or Panasonic Lumix MX200, ox Canon SX50 for their super zoom feature. I don't completely understand how the zoom at 1200 mm will be comparable with my zoom SRL Canon (100-400)or Tamron(18-270) lens (1.6 cropped sensor camera). Will the object like a bird will be optically closer to me with this extreme zoom or it will not make much difference? Thank you everybody.
i use canon t3i and canon 100mm macro f2.8 or tamron 18-270mm. lens wonders without being able to focus. i guess, may be using outside source light, like strobes, may help?
Wow! Congrats! Excellent shots and article to read. Thank you for sharing!
This is all Photoshop, very artistic and creative photo manipulation when 2 or more different photos are combined together to create the new story or look. It is one of the paths of digital art.
