Ok yeah I did not carve these. But while out looking for driftwood I found these. The one looked like an Eagle and the other to me looked like a Hawk. So I painted the Eagle but don't look to close I can not do feathers. I am not very artistic. I have not gotten the courage to paint my so called Hawk. The eyes and the hand do not work well together. I can see something but just can not make it happen
Nice job, camshy. Here's the extent of my artisitic talent.  All thumbs, get it?

Already fish eyed my cat and dog. So I thought why not my fish. The cat and dog sat still for theirs. The fish I can not teach him to stay! LOL I do not have a fish eye lens that fits this camera, I just did with the fish eye options.
He's probably looking at your camera lens and thinking how big that eye is that's looking at him!

I received a similar call from company I had ordered some electronic equipment from. As soon as I realized I was dealing with an aggressive con-man I simply said "sir before we go any further I have to tell you that all calls on this line are recorded." The line went dead, I didn't even hear a click. The ordered material arrived without incident or further contact.
Now that's one for the memory bank, shutter guy! Thanks for sharing that.

Tracer,
A lot of good advice from UHH. Just ask the question, camera, lens, photo companies, etc. and you get a ton of good advice. Just stiff threw it all and do your research!!!

Tracer58,

Have not ordered anything from 42nd Street Photo but have just rec'd a Nikon 18-200MM VR II from Adorama. Never once did they even hint about a protection filter or say anything about voiding the warranty. Rec'd everything ordered on time and very well package. No high pressure at all. Sometimes it is not worth the $70.00.
Don
Agreed, Don...lesson learned!

I'm sure you are correct, on all counts, Jerry. I just don't like being approached in that fashion. At the very minimum, I'd never buy from them again.
Yes Bruce, I received the lens and warranty in excellent packaging, even had a small Vivitar lens and screen cleaning kit separate from the lens box but I'll never order from there again.

Really? I am a native New Yorker, born in the city, and I am not offended in the least. The OP is talking about a comical stereotype that has been used in Hollywood (among other places) for at least the past 60 years. We have similar stereotypes for Southerners, Texans, Minnesotans, Californians, Germans, Mexicans, Italians, and Asians. In fact, I have never seen any group employ these stereotypes for laughs more than my New York relatives. This isn't by any means intended as a slight to all New Yorkers.

Nevertheless, the stereotype holds a lot of truth in many cases, whether you are buying cameras from 42nd Street or ordering a slice of pizza. Don't believe me? Just go an order a slice of Pizza at Pronto Pizza by Rockefeller Center during the lunch rush.
Really? I am a native New Yorker, born in the city... (show quote)
Thanks lporrel, I appreciate your take on my recent blunder but the fact is, what I said was wrong. The last thing I would want or try to do is offend anyone and believe me, no one feels worse about it than I do. I've been to NYC twice and before I went I was looking forward to experiencing all the stereotypes I'd heard about my whole life.

I would have felt cheated and disillusioned if everyone I heard spoke with my "buckeye" accent. I laughed when I was the first car at a stoplight and everybody behind me started honking their horns right before the light turned green and the crossing pedestrians kept crossing with a hand up telling me not to go yet.

I loved it when the guy behind the deli counter said, "Hurry up buddy, I ain't got all day!". Where I live in Ohio is pretty boring compared to the vibrant pulse of NYC.

I know those experiences are but a small percentage of what the state of NY is and the people as a whole but I'm really glad I got to experience what I did.

In the end, speaking to the guy on the phone reminded me of some of my experiences there and I made an unfortunate, unthinking comment that should've been kept to myself.

I was with you until this post.
You're absolutely right arides, my comment was completely insensitive and stereotypical. I didn't mean to offend anyone and I'm sorry I did. :-( Thanks for pointing that out to me...reminds me to think before speaking!
