This shot was taken with my 7D MKII and Tamron 16-300 lens. The deer were out just after daybreak on an overcast day. That explains an ISO of 6400.

Enjoy it! In the remote circumstance that there is a problem Canon has a very good reputation for support and addressing issues.

Still waiting for it to arrive. Canon told me today that the shipping is late due to the holiday on Monday. Can't wait to try it out.

I think he was referring to the fact, that you ask your question after ordering, it seems natural to do so, before one does!

I would like to thank everyone for their feedback. Canon tells me that I should be getting my camera by the end of the week. I am really looking forward to receiving it. This is a great site. Everyone has been really helpful.

HDR I am not concerned a whole lot about. I am looking for nice low light photos.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I bought a refurbished 6D from Canon in May of 2014 to have a second body as a compliment to my 5D Mk III. I am very happy with it and it has performed well. I like the fact that it is light weight and is great for travel. I use both cameras equally. I like not having to change lenses on one camera often when two cameras give me a sufficient focal length range in most cases.

The 6D has one shortcoming that I wasn't aware of until I began using it (and this may not be important to you).......when you activate the HDR feature it only works for one shot. You have to reset it in the menu each time you want to shoot an HDR photo. The 5D works continuously in HDR until you deactivate it in the menu. I shoot a lot of HDR photos.

Overall I believe you will be very pleased with the 6D. Best of luck with it!

I made the change to full frame about three months ago, purchasing a refurbished 6D. It is fantastic camera! I love it! The photos are so sharp I can crop however I want and still have a sharp photo! The low-light ability is amazing - I use auto-ISO with my 100-400 hand-held and even in the evening with light diminishing I will get some good photos with an ISO of 10,000!
