Great shot and a lucky one. Not many people are fortunate to see a coral snake. We have them here in Arizona but have not seen one, did in Florida. Hate the term "red on yellow-kill the fellow". Photograph yes but leave them alone, no need to hurt them. Too many people kill any snake they come across, such a waste

Beautiful snake but strange to see in California, Animal control involved at all? We have snake removal service here but snakes are not uncommon, some of them aren't nice.
