Where's a coyote when you need one?! (shot just before sunset 8/19)

Nice Linda! It reminds me of the Sci Fi shots from Mars or Venus! You need to photoshop in another moon or something! I really like the daylight or dusk photos of the moon.

I am especially happy how well the spur of the minute (Speed Challenge) turned out. We will have to do more!

I missed them both this time. I had my photo ready for youth and there were already 250 photos and I glanced at Flowers thinking it was next weeks challenge. I missed Still Life with photo ready to enter. I'm going to have to stop waiting until the last minute! I really enjoy perusing all the photos! The spur of the moment is a great idea! I'll watch for it! We're heading south to Alabama on Friday. Our son in law is in the states for training and is free this weekend... We'll hit the beach for a couple of days after that! Thanks for your dedication to the challenge. It's a fun prompt to get me out and shooting!

Great guide for voting!

Nice shot Cardinal Lady! I couldn't stand it (not getting a shot). So I just went outside (1:30) and this is what I got...didn't it look magnificent tonight! I had to keep looking around for skunks...there are plenty of them around here...but fortunately none were around! :-) Life is good!

Very nice shot! YOu got that crater definition that continually eludes me! It was a great night... can't believe what a wonderful summer it has been! Skeeters out there, though!

THank you for your service also. My husband, a Marine, Viet Nam Vet, as all the Vets, were very moved. We had been to The Wall in DC but having it in your own county leaves you speechless and choking tears. These kids were amazing! I took about 2000 photos. It was very hard to narrow down to these few. Thanks for looking.

The "Moving Wall" was brought to our little burg by the Owen County 4-H Fishing Team. It is a 1/2 size replica of the Viet Nam Memorial Wall. They booked it a year ago, thinking they could raise the money. When they realized they were running a little short, they didn't give up but found some sponsors. A plywood base had to be built, then the wall had to be assembled and then taken down. They arranged for a Huey to fly in our (local) and only surviving Medal of Honor recipient from Indiana, Sargeant Major Sammy Davis. The Owen County Fire Dept. displayed a huge flag. The VFW and Legion did the honors. The flags were also brought in by 3 youth on their horses. The Garden Club did the landscaping. These kids are to be applauded for their fundraising of about $9000, base building, assembling, disassembling, escort service, docents, program planning, solos, buglar and guarding 24/7 of The Wall. I'm sure there are many steps I am forgetting. Our Community was truly moved and honored to display The Moving Viet Nam Memorial Wall and to have such wonderful youth in our community.

It is beautiful! I just don't get the craters. I need a new tripod so I usually just set it on a ledge. That could be part of it.

That's too bad. You get better crater-age with a less-than-full moon. Check this out...I have a copy of it framed in a $5 Walmart frame and sitting on top of my record player.

Very nice! I just went down in the field our moon is orange tonight and bigger. Now I'm waiting for it to rise above our trees so I can shoot from our deck. It is beautiful!
