Raw: 6-12fs depending on 12 or 14 bit and dx vs 1.3 crop mode
Jpeg fine: 12-20fps
Jpeg small: till you wear out the sd card

Thanks. In 1.3 jpeg crop mode is the buffer unlimited?

I have a D7100 and it is weather sealed (same as the D800). It is the replacement for the D7000 with a 50% bump in resolution, and improved auto focus system (51 vs 39 points), removal of the low pass filter, the next generation of expeed 3 processor (better IQ at high ISO, 7fps with new 1.3 crop mode), a locking mode dial button, new spot white balance in live view. If any of these are important to you it is well worth the difference in price.

Thanks. What about buffer?

Yes, snapsort for me is unreliable but here in Italy the differenze between the two - body only - is 140 euros so it'a a no brainer getting - money wise - the newer D7100- My only real gripe is the D7100's ridicolous buffer in raw. Do you confirm?

If you don't do video than the D7100. The D7100 is about $500 less. The D7000 has a weather sealed body.

Do a D7000 vs D7100 snap shot, the 7100 shows as the winner.

The D7100 is less? I don't do video. Maybe you wanted to say D7000?

Hi all, I,m in the way of buying a Nikon DX camera because I just sold my Fuji E-X2 and lens. Why? I did not bond with it. Period!
In my future I see a FF camera but not in this moment so my question is: D7000 or D7100? I have some Nikon lenses: 85 f/1.8 and the ai E series from 24 to 200mm.
Planning to buy a zoom.

Is the IQ much better on the D7100? My use is general photography but mostly landscapes and Churches/monuments.

Thank you.

This will be my first FX body and as soon as prices begin to lower I think I'll get it.

The tilting screen is much more valuable than those who don't own one or don't use it might think. I much prefer the fully articulated screen of the D5xxx line and am waiting for the FX camera with it. Some of the uses I make of it:

1. High angle shots (over fences and people's heads)
2. Low angle shots (don't have to lay on the ground)
3. Group selfies (doesn't work with tilting; only with full articulated)
4. On my telescope
5. When taking upwards star photos such as of the milky way

But you are welcome to close your mind.

I also use the tilting screen in some of those situations and find it very useful.

I realize Sony is quite good at the sensor tech now, but Samsung has been making great strides in this area and I think a little competition makes for better sensors for everyone. I'm sticking with my Pentax (Sony sensor) for now.

I think most of us are sticking with their Sony sensors

Samsung NX1 Rumored Specification
s:

*
UHD 4K 3840×2160 at 30p/24p
Full HD up to 60p

* Magnesium Alloy, Weather-Sealed Body

The camera is expected to be announced in Photokina 2014 with NX 50-150mm f/2.8 OIS STM splash and dust proof lens.

Never count Samsung out. It's pretty difficult to engineer anything these days without Samsung parts. Ask Apple.

As long as Samsung sensor will match Sony ones otherwise it'll be another flop IMHO.

After the problems with the 600, and now the 810, I think I will wait before putting down my cash for this one.

I'll also wait. It seems Nikon quality control is on holidays.
