I am East of Sacramento, and I spend a good deal of time in the Sierra. You are welcome to meet up with me some time if you have time to do that. I am heading for Smith, Nevada this weekend, which is a bit South of you by 2 hours I think. But sometime in the future, just let know if that sounds interesting to you.

I shoot along the Eastern Sierra in the Fall to capture the colors as well. That might be a good time. It is much cooler then. Hwy 395 has plenty of great locations right off the Hwy.

Don't do that. Every shot someone takes of the falls is their own interpretation and souvenir. If you were selling them, it would be different if it didn't make money.

I take images because I enjoy looking back over them at a later date. I give most of my work away. Nobody wants to buy my images. There are too many photographers and just plain folks with good cameras that can do the same thing.

Most of the images people pay for are from photographers that have a good marketing plan. Someone in a magazine says they are great, so everyone wants to buy their shot. Kind of a silly game, but it is just the way it goes.
