I have the Sony 500mm F 8, which is superb on my Sony A77 in bright sunlight- put it on a tripod- blow your socks off !
Both my daughters are photographers; one uses her phone almost exclusively, the other uses a camera, and nothing else. The one with the phone targets every day life on the move, anything and everything, here and abroad. The other one does weddings, and cultural history, living with mountain tribes. Thus, it is 'Horses for courses'. For myself, I have and use digital and film cameras. I am out mostly everyday, weather depending- as in UK systems ! One never prints anything, the other does. I print a hell of a lot ! Go figure.
Sorry about the mis print- should be "Leica people"
Get a Fuji 16mm , A lot cheaper and a brilliant lens- every bit as good- I am an old Leica photog, and a lot
of leech people are moving over to Fujis.
You have provided a really top notch series of photos of the London scene !
What ever you get, it is better if you stay with the F1.4 converter!
I have been using a Canon Pixma Pro 1 for the last 4 years; it was expensive, but it produces the best prints I have ever seen. Prior to that I used an Epson- nuff said.
Get the D7200= no brainer !
Try the sigma 105 F1.4; it will literally blow your socks off- nikon can't get any where near it.
Go for it DAD- I am 83 ! Just get on with it- you will do fine !
Practice my friend, practice ! I use both the Fuji X pro 2, and the Fuji XE 2s. I never found any problem with either menu on both cameras; it is a mind set- just practice until it is second nature- you will be pleasantly surprised.
Hi, Graham; I have both the D3, and the Nikon D300s. I use them both- FX for the D3, DX for the 300s.
I think you will find that the D3 is one hefty lump to carry around for extended periods, while the 300s is a veritable light weight. Performance wise, both are very good. For your use, I would go for the 300s !
Correct to my last; should read Green colour cast ', rest of reply OK !
