I hope you weren't paid for this, Ias this is a serious subject I will give a serious opinion.

Terrible.

Leaning buildings, glasses and props.

People not looking at the camera.

Over exposed, unsharp and poorly composed.

In fact I would find it hard to say anything positive about any of the photographs here.

People will knock me for being harsh, sorry, you asked for comments.

Like I said before I am learning from my mistakes! Give me a break, NOONE is Perfect!

Sarah Louise, we all have to start somewhere and like you said, you are learning from your mistakes........
I hope you haven't been put off so much as to leave the forum... :-( , as there is plenty of good advice available.
Enjoying your photography is the important thing, if things aren't technically perfect, so what....... :-)
Think of it this way, would you have let the most emminent surgeon take your appendix out when he was in Med School......??, no me neither...... :D
I think your pictures have the makings of some great shots, so stick with it.....!

Most cameras give you the option to shoot in 16:9 ratio. You'll find it in the setup menu. Mine gives the option to shoot in 3:2 or 16:9. Hope this helps....!

Hi all. I've just invested in a Canon 7D with a 24-105mm lens. I've also splashed out on a Mark 2 Canon 70-200 L f/2.8 IS lens that should arrive tomorrow. Here's one of my first shots with the 24-105 lens. I look forward to learning a lot on here!

.... can anyone see an elephant in this image .... or am I weird ? :|
Yes, it's my pet elephant, Jumbo! I take him everywhere with me. He's handy for carrying all my equipment! ;)

OK Chris, that cool .... I fully understand as I too have a pet.... do ya like him ?

What lens did you use?

Sony is a good choice.

I used a Sigma 28-105mm f2.8 (aspherical), that I got secondhand for £75 - about $100, I think.
